For the people who dont know: Electronic engines dont need gears. they dont have a gearbox

Michael Janzen They don't need gears. But gears does help with acceleration at higher speeds. The Concept One has gears and it helps the car achieve great acceleration at high speeds.

whoopess No. Yes, it is slower, but there are many benefits. First, you can charge at home, s every time you wake up, it is fully charged. It is much much cheaper than gas, more like $10 MAX for a full charge (sometimes it’s free depending where you charge it)... you can also charge it at a charging station which is usually faster (gas stations are more common however this will change in the future and is not a big deal) The fastest you can charge in a tesla from 0-100% is 1 hour in a supercharger, however you probably will never use it until you go to a road trip. :)
