I do care about your videos, because you, your products and your videos are awesome! Thank you so much for sharing them on KZbin. I don't have a Model S and I do not want a car that is bigger than my Model 3, so this video is the closet that I will get to those huge brake rotors.

I already wanted a Plaid badly. This intensifies my desire even more. Damn.

About to order the “easy big fella” break kit and the break master cylinders!! This is a huge fucking improvement over carbon. I swear to god people have no clue how much carbon breaks suck unless you are on the track specifically for the heat performance. The plaid is my daily driver I just want more stopping power!

1:37 Jesse says if you set balance to the front you can expect understeer. 4:18 Balance is set 100 to the front, Sasha can’t make the turn. Brilliant 😅

Can it still do backwards drift entry at the end of straights?

No, but it'll do a helluva oversteer in Track Mode....

We forgot to mention that our big brake kit allows the car to brake at 5G's like an F1 car!

Re: Plaid Mode Customization. Any possibility of reassigning yoke controls for f/r (or even corner/lateral!) brake biasing?
@MountainPassPerformance2 жыл бұрын
Not in any kind of retail product unfortunately!

The track mode config screen shows brake temperatures. Are there already infrared sensors for that system?
@MountainPassPerformance2 жыл бұрын
No - Tesla is using a model to determine the temperature. So changing any hardware makes this model and the associated warnings pointless.
@aspecreviews2 жыл бұрын
@@MountainPassPerformance my grandpa had a 2001 Honda Accord V6 that had brake-only traction control up to 18 mph. The manual said that if the brakes overheated while the traction control was activating, the system would pause for a few minutes to let the brakes cool down. I always wondered how that worked, and it probably worked very similar to how Tesla did it with the brake thermal model.

I think it’s ok to round off HP number when you have this amount of power by the way were you guy’s able to dyno it on your hub dyno ? I saw that Drag times could not tame it on a roller dyno.
@MountainPassPerformance2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately our hub dyno has a maximum of F-2000Nm / R-4000Nm. That being said, we could always try it at high speed and see what we get for fun. Maybe we'll do this sooner than later for fun.
