Those apillars for the TBMs are some of the best looking and on-axis pods you have made. Well done Matt. We will stay in touch, Scott.

If Michelangelo lived today... He would be named Matt and build soundsystems in cars! Epic work! Quick note of my own experience with Tesla and the piggy charger. Often It would be wet when I stored it back into the car. Either with snow, or simply from rain. Ended up with placing a towel in the frunk, and keeping the charger and towel there.

Oh wow finally someone who seems to have actual knowledge. Got an old Model S and wanted an easy upgrade for the speakers maybe some with bigger frequenzy range. The struggle is that there is no real equalizer in the system and its gonna be alot of work to install one.

Matt, AHHH-MAZING work!!! Been watching your videos for a while now, and I’m ALWAYS impressed with your work. One question tho, how long does a build like this take?

I have a full utopia m "A" pillars 3 way with mosconi pro system and I'm considering adding rear door speakers for rear fill for more volume. How do you feel about rear fill in a front 3 way system?

Doesn't the front center channel run via the autopilot ECU (MCU amplifier --> ECU --> center channel), and then the ECU is responsible for the sounds added to that channel? So, in theory, you could just use the same channel from the MCU location without utilizing that button, considering that I aim to use the factory wire harness as a plug-and-play solution. Of course, I'll need to create my own wiring harness for this to be feasible, but isn't this approach preferable to devising a complicated switch?

I’m not sure what you are asking. The switch reconnects the center channel to the mcu. So when you are not listening to the MCU as a source (i.e. DAP or BT Direct) , you have Bluetooth phone call abilities along with having chimes, ect. If you are listening to the mcu, then you are not going to want that center active since it’s not running through the DSP. Maybe you are misunderstanding how we are using it.

@@therealmatty_sThanks for taking the time to answer. Before I start its worth mentioning i have a Model S with Base Audio with which im planning on upgrading the audio system myself. In this context I'm exploring the possibility of routing the center channel's signal through the DSP initially (directly from the mcu), then directing this separate center channel DSP-processed signal back to the center channel speaker via the original harness, assuming this is technically feasible with the Forza 12 DSP I'm planning on using. This setup aims to preserve the system sounds, as it would still pass the center channel signal through the autopilot ECU after being processed by the DSP (if my understanding of the wiring diagram is correct?). It seems that the autopilot ECU does some sound output for the center channel speaker (correct me if I'm wrong). I'm looking to implement this modification using the original wire harness to ensure that the system can be easily reverted to stock for future resale purposes. Additionally, I'm aware that adopting this configuration might mean losing Bluetooth call functionality when the music source isn't the MCU. Given the DSP's capabilities and the system's configuration, is this approach technically feasible? What would be your best tips for upgrading my 2017 Model S with base audio?

Ok Elon Musk you just got called out...😂....in the older Teslas they didn't have any structure to protect battery pack from being damaged if you ran over road debris...it was fire waiting to happen...Teslas are cool technical cars they are figuring out some of the really basic things car should have...maybe they will take your advise on charger storage..

Biggwst thing for electrix cars is you need to run all class D at low wattage. It is all about energy effeciency; since a car audio system is a big power draw it can leave you stranded on the side of the road and can siflgnificantly reduce your range if you are banging a high amerage system. In addition they don't have alternators- they use dc to dc rectifiers to step down 600V DC down to 14.4DC. Too high of amperage and yoi can fry the rectifier. Elon is a ripoff.

As someone that installs high end audio systems in these cars and also help people all over the world do the same, you simply do not know what you are talking about.
