Another common issue is one leg of the tripod mount for the ultrasonic sensors coming loose from the door panel. This will cause erratic door behavior. It is very common on 2022 MX straight from the factory.

Enjoyed watching this video especially since I just purchased a Model X. Concerning calibration of the falcon wing door, would putting paint protection film (PPF) on the door require that the door be recalibrated? Thanks.

If you have a dent like that - fix the damn dent and see if it works before replacing the entire door. It's less than $100. If it doesn't work, well, at least you tried to save a ton of money.
