I saw where someone had the issue with items coming through the captain chair seats. They used the floor board that covers the trunk recessed area and used it as a barrier. They placed it behind the rear seats. Perhaps that could be a cheaper option.

Funny you mentioned the tire noise. I purchased DWS 06 plus (on 22” wheels also) and they are terribly loud. Going to buy the conti sport 6 soon to get the quiet ride back.

The car is insanely quiet and comfortable on contisport contact 6s. Good call going to replace the fronts again

I have a Model S and just installed Hankook Ion. I was surprised how quiet they are. I'm curious how long they will last. Good luck with your car.

I'm not surprised. I put Hankook Ventus V12 on my black Merdedes convertible. They're great tires, quiet and very comfortable even though the car is on low profile tires with coilovers and slammed as low as it will go.

Buy the Macsboost camber kit. Somewhat easy install, just some elbow grease or get someone to install for you. $200 for some shims basically. Our X Plaid on 20 inch wheels still has almost full tread at 12,500 miles. OEM A/S tires.

I have the N2itive adjustable camber arms installed. Factory 20” tires have treadwear rating of 500. Factory 22” tires have a treadwear rating of 240 so technically 20s should last 2x as long

@toothfixer Ah okay! Fair enough! I feel like I've seen your videos before and probably commented the same thing I just did on a different video awhile back or I'm just having Deja Vu! Other than tires are you still happy with the car overall? We love ours. I'm now just waiting to trade my M3P in for the CT but I will probably be waiting another 12+ months if I had to guess.

@@RxPharmerI absolutely love this car. Unfortunately the new tires have taken some joy out of it but I’m going to get some new contisport contact 6s to get the magic carpet ride back. I ordered a founders edition cybertruck just waiting for delivery. On the fence about whether the truck will replace this car or I’ll keep both. TBD

I have a 6 seater too and drive mostly with 3rd row seats folded. Definitely agree with groceries rolling to the front lol so annoying

I put those same tires on my model s plaid. Great tire. Sounds are mostly gone

I had a refreshed model S with 21s before this car put 50k miles on it in 2 years. I only had Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on it and they were great this A/S tire is very different. Harder compound so harsh in comparison and without the foam core it thumps way more than T spec tires. I put 500 miles on these and have a strong opinion about the all season pilot sports will post a new review soon

Hi Rob, at 3:55 you describe your driving style. How does your real-world range compare to the promised range?

This is my 4th Tesla and in general they never get stated range. I believe this is true for most EVs. Last night I left my house with 260 miles of stated range. Drove 125 highway miles and parked with 70 miles of range. Had some uphill and strong winds.

It's not a tire issue. It's an issue of mashing the accelerator over and over. Stop doing that.

I'll stop you right there - M-sport versions of BMW X5s are like this too. It's not an EV problem. Heavy-camber german cars do this just as much.

You need to rotate your tires every 5000 miles or they will wear out fast

The new X plaid has a staggered setup can’t be rotated front to rear the issue is the inner sidewalls

Staggered tire setup is rotated by unmounting the tire off the rim and flipping and remounting on the same axel but on the other side 👍🏾

You can’t rotate them if they are directional
