I’m gonna hold you to that promise that you won’t be one of those Tesla people. Now that I’ve liked your travel videos, I get a ton if recommended videos that are all about Tesla. 😄

@@brooksholttravelsI agree. There is already tons of Tesla content on KZbin. Definitely talk about the car but I’d like to see this channel become something more like Adam the Woo. You’re already on the road all the time anyway so you may as well get content from it but not just about the car. I’d like to see you guys stop and see fun things. Focus on what you can find on your way to play mini golf. Road side attractions. Hikes. Local restaurants. Quirky museums. Etc.

Hi Brooks. I've been watching you for a couple of years now. Do you have a Spotify link for your soundtrack on this video? I'm a big British metal fan, and what I hear sounds great!

Just looked it up and it would be around $22 to charge from empty to full in the UK. They should make it free or very cheap to get people to make the move to EV's. Still guess its cheaper than paying for fuel. Not been to the states since 2018 but sure it was only $2 a gallon then. Thats a price hike.
@brooksholttravels

Yeah unfortunately since 2021 or so gas has really gone up. Around $3.20 a gallon in my area, which is cheap compared to the west coast.

Can you see the dash ok through the steering wheel ?
@brooksholttravels
@brooksholttravels 9 ай бұрын
I’ve never really had an issue with it. Got the wheel at a height that I can see prob 95% of the dash screen. Can only not see a tiny portion of the top of it without adjusting my head

Hey Brooks How Ya Doin'...! So, I'm really not an EV or a Hybrid Driver. But i understand the hype behind all these enhancement & advanced technical "stuff" about EVs, just dosen't tickle my fancy.... maybe later on about 15 to 20 more years when ALL the tech bugs bring these cars to "nearly" perfect trouble free" driving. Yes, I've been on both the Drivers & Passenger seats of EVs from Tesla, Lucid, Ford, Audi, Porche etc.... thanks to my EV friends (some who are THOSE EV People!). Personally, from my POV all these cars feel the same; same drive, nearly identical exterior looks design, you just can't tell who you're driving unless you look at the company emblem on the steering wheel! Me, i want to feel the car when i hold that steering wheel, i want to rear wheels to spin & burn rubber (when i want to). & You can feel the difference when you sit in a Mustang, Camaro or a Charger! Yes I'm a Happy Geek, but i collect MOPARS & a few JDMs & i love my HEMIs! & the whole "the car not liking the walls" i think bcuz the camera & sensors are fixed on the lane lines painted on the roads, & when the center wall barrier appears, those sensors are trying to figure out "okay whats the lane boundary the lines or the wall?" & for those CRAZY Drivers, what can you do they're out there. & that's when the quote "Defensive Driving" comes to light!

Yo! Totally understand that. EV's def arent for everyone, and I'd say especially for anyone that is a deep rooted "car person", if that makes sense. EVs for sure dont have the personality and feel that muscle cars do, and that's totally fine. Different strokes for different folks haha. I was never really a car guy at all, just wanted what I thought would make my job easier (and more comfortable) and this seemed to fit that mold in a good way ATM. But I totally get it from the other side where somebody really loves the feel and uniqueness of different rides. I'll never be one of those "EVs are gonna take over and its all that matters" kind of person. Just let everyone do their own thing 🤘🏼

@brooksholttravels So true. You're Model X is Awesome & EVs will soon be the CARS on the road, & one of these days in a Decade Far Far Away.... I'll buy one. Dodge is coming out with a EV & unfortunately the V8 HEMIs are going away being replaced by a Hurricane Twin Turbo i6, the V8 Rumble will be gone but the power will still be there & like you said, it will depend on the oerson who plants his Buttered BUTT (Elisha...lol) in the Drivers Seat! Thanks Brooks for this BHT Video, & ya looking 4ward 2wards more BHT Video & Ur Adventures as you travel across America!

How is it climbing hills? Does it bog down or does it keep up like a gasoline engine? Thanks for the vlog. I found it interesting and very informative.
@brooksholttravels
@brooksholttravels Жыл бұрын
Doesn’t bog down at all. To how it’s felt to me, nearly the opposite. Where with most gas cars as you start climbing bigger hills you have to push the pedal more to keep at speed, with the electric motors it seems to maintain at a consistent pedal position. Hopefully that makes sense.

When I’ve driven a hybrid, it’s the same for me: it does’t care about hills at all, and seems to do better on hills than our gas vehicles.

@@brooksholttravels I should have explained a little more. I am a truck driver and have to deal with "collision mitigation system" this is where the truck can decide to apply the brakes on its own. My truck ghost brakes daily. Meaning it brakes when no vehicles are in front of my vehicle. I have heard about Tesla's doing the same. Just stay alert, and don't drive in front or back of semis. Things are about to get real spicey. P.S. love the videos. ❤👍

Tesla should be sponsoring you, Your description's and videos make me want to buy a Tesla and if I had enough money I would. 1 thing though, it seems strange to see you but not Elisha, I have watched most of your minigolf videos and she is in them. I am not saying I don't like and enjoy videos with just you in them, it's just strange seeing you and not Elisha and you together. 👍👍👍
