Hi Bryan, do you know if the Hidden Trunk Fridge works for the Model 3 as well?

It’s just Model Y unfortunately.

Is there a basic on/off button for when I’m not using? Looks like a great product!!
@bryanhauer Жыл бұрын
Yep. Same button I held for 3 seconds to turn on will turn it off so no need to remove to unplug. I love how it’s out of the way and doesn’t take up any extra room. It’s obviously not as big as a normal cooler so is best for drinks, sandwiches, fruit, smaller items.

Continue to like your vids. Thinking about the fridge. I currently use a 21 Liter fridge that sits in but this one looks interesting. I typically camp with two people (multiple nights). Fridges tend get moisture and other items in them. How hard is it to clean and dry? Will it need to be unscrewed for good cleaning?

I was just talking with my neighbors today about how when I moved here (30 years ago) half the cars were Subarus and now half the cars (in the Seattle area) are EVs. It's fun to see you driving and charging places I go. Someday, you'll have to hit the peninsula! Looking forward to see your trip to Rainier (I think you said that's the one place in WA you stopped). Hope you're driving down the Oregon coast! If so, I hope you stopped at Ecola State Park where they filmed some of the Goonies movie! The coast is so beautiful and I'm in love with the sea stacks. Also hoping you're stopping in the Redwoods in CA.

The fridge looks really intriguing-if it’s anything like the Lectric Bike, it’s going to be a winner!
@bryanhauer Жыл бұрын
I really like it! It's not a total replacement for a larger fridge for long trips with multiple people, but for a weekend camping trip or daily use of drinks, sandwiches, lunches, yogurt, kids snacks, small items like that... it's fantastic! I love how it's so out of the way. My only suggestion is if you bring meat, just put it in ziplock bags to reduce size as large containers won't fit well. It's surpassed my expectations 👍🏻
@deborahchapman244 Жыл бұрын
Hey Bryan!! You're almost there. Are you going to switch fridges now? It looks pretty awesome. Want to be sure I really need one before I invest. I really really value your content. Can't wait until your visit to Exped, you are clearly excited for this. Thanks for the awesome content, just one thing? Can you please clean the windshield ??? 🤣🤣😆😆😘
@bryanhauer Жыл бұрын
haha 🤣 I clean it and an hour later it's covered again 🤷♂️ As for the fridge... I love it, but it's best used for drinks and small items like sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, condiments etc... You could use it for meat as well, but you'll need to transfer it into a ziplock bag as there's not enough room for large packages and you just have to be ok with having to take a few things out to access other things. It's great though since it's out of the way. I won't necessarily switch as I like having a larger fridge for long trips on the road, but for short trips (a few days) or daily use for drinks, small groceries, lunches, kids snacks... I think it's fantastic. I'll likely use it for daily use and then take a larger one along as well when camping for more than a week. For most people though that will only camp a few days at a time at most... it's awesome! Very excited for the EXPED video Sunday. It was fun! They're a great group of outdoor enthusiasts and was just a fun moment for the channel 😀
@ritacristobal1285 Жыл бұрын
Hi Bryan. I noticed that you are using now the oupes? Do you find it better now than jackery? Thanks again.
@bryanhauer Жыл бұрын
Performance wise they're about the same. Both are fantastic! The OUPES uses Lithium Iron Phosphate chemistry in their batteries which means it gets 3500 lifecycles (0-100%) while the Jackery uses Lithium-Ion and gets 500. That's fully draining the battery and recharging it. For most, that won't be an issue with either option. Again, performance on both is about the same, but the main reason I'd suggest the OUPES is because it's about 35% less expensive. If you do end up getting an OUPES, please use my link: OUPES 1800 Watt Solar Powered Generator: shrsl.com/42ang

Update: I asked the company, Tlyard, if international viewers could order and they replied that they can take international orders, but delivery will take 25-30 days because they can’t ship this item by air. Hey Bryan. Have you thought about subscribing to Teslas FSD or is the autopilot sufficient?
@bryanhauer Жыл бұрын
I don’t think it’s worth it at all. I may try it for a few months as I’ve gotten quite a few referral points through Tesla, but I’d never pay for it in its current state. That seems to be the general consensus among other KZbinr’s as well. I’m hopeful it’ll really improve over the next couple years.
@JoseDiaz-f7o Жыл бұрын
@@bryanhauer I use FSD myself and it needs a lot of work. I haven’t cancelled because I heard a new update should be out soon. I’m hopeful the new update fixes many issues.
@thefish5861 Жыл бұрын
@@JoseDiaz-f7oI have bought FSD three times now. Every update gets me a little excited, but I’m over it now. Call me a major skeptic. I did not buy it on the new Model X I just bought. I actually don’t think it will ever be good enough, and I realized I don’t even want my car driving me around town. Autopilot on the interstate is very useful, though.

I don't just cause it's so limited on space, but in cities you can use Tesla road side service and I also have a AAA Premier membership that gives one 200 mile tow per year and two 100 mile tows. I also have the official Tesla tire repair kit + sealant and did have to use it once and worked great.
