Thanks for your video, good explanation! 😊 Still I have one question: You attached the device to ground and directly to the low voltage battery. Is there any current limitation (fuse) in place just in case the little frunk motor might somehow fail?

Seems cool but don't really see the need. It only negates the need to push the hood down to latch. Mine requires only the very slightest push to operate.

If the soft close motor fails...will the front hood still be able to open? From the looks of the design it seem to be able to open but just wondering...
@PaulsViewsReviews6 ай бұрын
I wondered this, too. There’s another video on KZbin of this installation where he shows that, if the power fails to the additional unit, pressing the regular open button a couple of tones will allow the trunk to still open.

There might be a cultural difference between you and Mr Fix it. I got the impression he is used to showing people things, live in person. He uses the helping words to confirm understanding. It does not carry over to video the same way, but you can tell he has a teachers heart, and has done it for many years. It’s a little unfortunate that you couldn’t give some grace for something you received for free, and he got nothing in exchange, except for a hard time. But this is the internet, where we dump on people, in order to “help build them”. Maybe that’s why some really helpful people give up on help videos, before they really get started. It’s honestly not worth it, unless you go viral, and get rewarded monetarily.

What is the point of all the electric gadgets? They do not enhance the driving experience in any way and will result in higher repair costs in the future. "Entertainment" systems installed 5 years ago are obsolete and impossible to find replacement parts for, thus decreasing your car's resale value.

Very true but it's just something that's beneficial to me!
