I’m going to add another. Wow! Typically this is not for someone who is not patient, however, the tone of your voice and instruction, and the talent of your wife’s precise handling of the material made this for a very well done tutorial. This truly keeps the, owner, interested party, and general audience captivated. Especially someone who is really interested in doing this. I certainly will keep this on my shelf of videos to watch again. Yes I am a new subscriber now.

Thanks for the video. Adhesive Removal - I found that if you just slightly warm the adhesive it can indeed easily be removed - just by pushing a finger against it to start effectively 'rolling it up'. If you heat too much it becomes far too sticky to do this. If required just let it cool again and only just apply heat for a moment.

WD 40 removes the glue really easily. And believe it or not, you can also use butter to remove glue stains from any surface.

Just finished installing mine on MYP. Driver side went smooth. Passenger side not so much. Magnet alignment would not trigger light. Went through Hell trying to find the correct spot and finally ended up mounting the magnet vertically to make it work. WTF!

My question is how do you change the battery when they die. Do you have to completely uninstall and reinstall

Batteries are not replaceable. I assume they should last a very long time

@@434holly I got them from Abstract Ocean. I didn't change the door sills at all, I only replaced the lights mounted in the bottom of the doors.

I exactly installed like the way you did, but mine does not come "ON" when the door opened, Any suggestions that what am I doing wrong? one more thing: I do have my puddle lights installed with "T" logo illuminated on the road or driveway.

Maybe put down painter's tape around the original plate, then you have a guide for installing the new plate in exactly the same spot. Orange oil should take the glue off easily.

Everyone in the comments is thinking too hard about how to remove the adhesive. Those gloves that come with it have that blue surface specifically for that. You heat that adhesive up and push that blue surface against it, and it sticks right to the gloves. You can just heat it up, put your palm against it and twist, and it'll peel right off. If you can get a clean removal with the stock sills like they did in this video, the gloves followed by the alcohol pad that is provided with get almost all of it off without much effort. That said. I did this without heat on the first side. Don't try that...

It was my mistake to buy these. You’re in for a rude awakening when you go to install these if you think it’s a simple project screw on and screw off. You’ll end up going to the store at least to get some solvent to clean the adhesive residue. If you don’t have a hairdryer or something like that, you’re gonna be looking for one of those as well. The instructions are unintelligible. They’re mostly just a bunch of stupid little pictures. I still don’t understand picture number four under how to take off the old sills.

I watched your video several times. I thought it was pretty well done but since you’re gonna be nasty. Honestly you’re wasting our time when it comes to how do you take off the adhesive? I got the goo gone and it was gone in seconds. All that crap about a plastic razor blade and alcohol. Just a waste of time brother.
