The Model Y is a performance oriented SUV. The Tesla chassis engineers put in a lot of R&D hours and I wouldn’t change a thing. Our DM LR Model Y rides perfect the way it comes from the factory. The ride is very similar to our Audi S3 sedan. We love the sharp European handling, firm ride and super comfortable seats.

I disagree completely. I own a BMW 2 series which is a sporty coupe and it has an absolutely better suspension feel. It’s controlled. Handles dips and road imperfections significantly better. The Model Y is a very rough and rattley ride for what your paying. It’s probably all point of reference on this issue but for people used to well done suspension, the Model Y needs help in that area.

Evaluating your new suspension on a smooth highway is not too helpful. The purpose of having suspension is to smooth out ruff roads like any major city would have with potholes, manhole covers, an array of uneven patch work, etc.
