@@odisy64 It won’t be bigger. The Boeing Everett factory is MASSIVE. By massive I mean that it can fit all of Disney Land inside of it + some. Tesla also doesn’t need that big of a plant, it would be unnecessary. Tesla builds cars, Boeing builds planes

@@ashtongilbert ive seen the Everett factory, i live in Washington. but the main building is just pretty much a giant hanger full of mostly air. the giga factory seems similar in height but it has multiple concrete floors where things will be manufactured. they are building more than just cars, this will also be a cell plant in the 50 to 100 gwh range which would actually make it the largest cell factory in the world next to the other cell plant being built at giga berlin. these plants are going to produce millions of units a year when all phases of the construction are complete.

@@odisy64 This is Giga Texas, so it will be smaller than Giga Nevada, which (if I remember correctly) will be there largest Giga factory. At the moment, the Boeing Factory retains the title for the largest building in the world, bu only by footprint. Once finished, Giga Texas and / or Giga Nevada may be larger than the Everett Factory by square footage (if you take into account all the floors). But I remember from an event a couple years back Elon saying that it was going to fall below Boeings factory

@@ashtongilbert i believe the Berlin site will be bigger but i dont think square footage or building volume are a good way to measure since the Boeing facility just has a mostly empty multi story building. A few years ago elon said that they would need hundreds of giga factories but during the battery day event he talked that its better to build an "alien dreadnought" of a building where they would squeeze out the maximum output of each square foot on a factory that takes raw meterials in and pumps out electric cars so his focused has shifted to few but much more productive facilities.

Some people think the growth in Austin is great, but it's not. Austin was already over crowded, traffic is a nightmare, cost of living was high, and now with all of these ID-10-Ts moving here from California, it will get exponentially worse. Most people who have lived in Austin their whole lives will soon be forced out because they cant afford to live there anymore. Its rapidly turning into what California is, and if they think bringing their same beliefs to Texas is going to work out for them, they are sadly mistaken.

Those wanting to move to Austin might consider Riverside, Ca. Average price of a home is the same in both places but Riverside is actually a little cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Also, Riverside has excellent transportation systems, abundant water and less expensive property taxes. 2.25% for Austin vs. 1.15% (approx) for Riverside.

Our neighbors who we are close with listed their house, had a few dozen offers over asking and closed some several hundreds of thousands over asking. Quick tip about EVERY tesla im sure: Theres a battery pack under the back of the car, just replace those with new batterys, and see if its fully charged (or atleast above 90% or is)
