we traded in our TesM3LR for a LYRIQ. The Google Android Automotive is scary accurate for destination SoC. Much more so then the TesM3LR, but that was then. I have rented some TesM3 since then and even then it fluxed quite a bit compared to the cadi. I will be interested to see if Tes keeps getting closer to Google. Last time I checked, they had a way to go. Thx for the video. I enjoyed watching.

I tend to drive the speed limit and gather quite a bit of regen, so i find these tools and features to be extremely accurate. I also, often beat EPA range estimates. I appreciate being able to set a lower SOC. I primarily commute up and down I-95 and i have plenty of bail out options if I don't get the range i might have estimated. I really want the pre-conditioning to wait till it's really optimal. I think it pre-conditions to soon too often.

Curious to try it, ever since they initially tried to factor in weather conditions, it's gotten a lot less accurate. Before that it was pretty much always within ~3% accuracy.

Especially the trailer stuff. For those of us with unsupported trailer hitches, let me manually let the car know I’m towing or car topping, or anything that will significantly impact range.

The accuracy of the predicted SOC on arrival in a Tesla seems to be very dependable on accuracy of the map data as in my experience there are certain roads that I drive on that it always over estimates or underestimates no matter what the weather was on that day. My other biggest complaint is how much the predicted SOC can change during the drive especially in first half of the drive. On a recent trip I took I left the charger with predicted SOC on arrival showing 20% and within 30 miles it dropped that prediction to 3% and said I will not make it to the next charger and while I kept similar pace it gradually came back and I still got to my destination with 8% SOC. This would not be a problem if there were other chargers along the way but in the western part of country where I am it is very common to have charging deserts of over 100 miles.

We have the same issue with CCS cars and weather problems. On a recent trip I saw my available miles of range drop due to wind and fast driving. It happens, atleast the car alerts you to the issue of not making it at the current speed. With Tesla as mentioned, you might be able to stop at a station sooner than planned.

I have owned a Model 3 for about 7 years and it has never spontaneously combusted. The only issue I had during that time period was I had to get my glovebox replaced, but that was under warranty.
