21:50 The FSD transfer being complicated is nonsense. The one-time purchase should be a lifetime purchase. That will incentivize people not to go with the monthly purchase. Without it, purchasing FSD at this point makes no sense.

Agreed. The software is already installed on all Tesla vehicles so that it can run in shadow mode. Making FSD completely transferable is as simple as attaching it to your settings in your Tesla app.

If you buy FSD, you should own it and be able to transfer it to a new car or transfer to the new owner. It just doesn't make sense when you "own" something yet you can't keep it or pass the cost along to the next owner.

Yeah, FSD should be transferable from one Tesla model to another like a (virtual) SIM card from my old iPhone to my new Samsung Galaxy smartphone. Used Teslas without FSD are good for those who cannot afford new cars but wanna switch despreadly from _ICE age_ into _BEV world._

It is software, when you buy software unless specifically stated, you cannot give it away to someone else. Having said that I would like to see it transferable in this case.

44:53 - the same thing happened to me on Richmond Avenue in Staten Island, New York. An apparently Ready, but not functioning super charging station has been set up for way over half a year. I have to remember to keep checking to see if it’s ready to go with all permits and whatever they’re waiting for. There is only one on Staten Island - at the southern tip. We need one for the north half too.

FSD when bought should A: Belong to the Owner & be transferred to any car the driver owns over time. < OR > B: Belong to the Car you bought it for, and stay with the car transferring to the new owner, making the car more valuable upon resale.

We've paid nearly $40,000 for FSD over the years for new Teslas . It hasn't been worth the money till this year IMO. Not to be able to transfer my 2019 FSD to a Highland upgrade, sucks. hot damn, Jeannine

My guess is Tesla have changed their economic model on FSD to a subscription service which will include other services. So transferring licenses without a subscription component is not something they want to support.

Totally agree with Zac and Jesse's comment on FSD transfers. Long time owner since 2012 MS and have purchased FSD for three of our Teslas, as an early adopter. I believe in Tesla and that fidelity needs to be honored IMHO.

Zac i have a question about evgo escape adapter and Sparky. Does it plyg into Sparky? Mine does not. I have the 2016 model x and when my charge door is open the adapter will not plug into car. My skin quarter panel is in the way and the locking mechanism on the bottom of adapter hits the quarter panel. The company recognized the problem and said they are going to build an upgraded adapter that will clear the quarter panel and allow for proper function. So if yours fits then one year difference in MX models has different panels.

The Cybertruck is already a design icon and is right up there with automotive classics. It’s the first iconic shaped vehicle that I could potentially afford to buy and own, which blows my mind! The underpinning technology is the real coup as it will filter down into other models.

Dealerships are discouraging EV sales TO the buyers who want to buy an EV. ALL new vehicle warrantys EXCLUDE polution controls and wear items. Fuel injectors, Exhaust, Oxy Sensors, Spark Plugs, Coil Packs, Filters, Fluids, timing belts are all Customer Pay items. These are a dealerships profit area NOT car sales. EVs have NONE of these parts or services. Car makers are also losing sales of these items when EVs are made.

22:31 FSD Transfer should not be cheered for. They should advocate for transforming FSD into an actual licensing model. Meaning: 1. Keep the subscription license, which is bound to a specific car. 2. Offer a full license, that can be assigned dynamically to any car the user has access to - even if their just has guest access, like with a rental. This would also justify the ridiculous amount Tesla asks for it currently. 3. Offer the option to permanently bind FSD to a car. Which should price wise be between monthly subscription and full-license.

I didn't hear "profit centre", I heard "no longer making a loss". It's possible to balance the books and end up with (close to) zero profit. Maybe they do this country-wide or company-wide and dynamically adjust the service/labour fees and cost of goods against their costs for worker pay, office space, etc. accordingly.

I don’t agree. U got your money once for fsd. So they should have it transfer as they are buying a new Tesla and your getting money again. So no it’s a cheap way to go Customers would be happy. U can remove fsd from the old car as it goes to new car so people are not getting it for free.
