You are becoming the most relatable and reliable FSD channel for sure.👍 🎉 Appreciate the effort.

Thanks for your continual videos, they're great. I recently had to disengage with HW3 12.5.4 when the streets were so white with salt (from the snow) that the car couldn't decisively make out the white dashed lines, and kept wavering.

Thanks for the quick 12.6.1 Test Drive, I am waiting for the release to drop to my car! You do an excellent job with your FSD Test Drives. Once you get comfortable with 12.6.1 on hw3 I would love to see a NYC drive.

Thanks BT. My HW3 MY is still on 12.5.4 so I’m looking forward to 12.6.1.

Thanks man. As usual another great video. I’m still in my model 3 with 12.5.4.2 patiently awaiting 12.6.x. Just having the car, not stop at Green lights, to actually go when the light turns green and making confident turns would be a huge win for me. Also, if the phantom breaking significant reduced, or was eliminated, that would make this a phenomenal system. I could almost live with the screwy lane selections and changes if it was confident in other areas. I guess we’re getting there. Thanks again.

Thanks very much. Looking forward to this build soon. Disappointing to see that it’s still doing random lane changes. Kind of like the wonky wipers. Oh well, it’ll get better in time.

Very welcome and informative video. I’m tired of languishing with 12.5.4.2 on my HW3 M3LR. Sadly, Teslafi doesn’t show it being pushed out to the Model 3 just yet.

+1 on the more assertive nature of 12.6.1. vs 12.6. This was especially true for me on right turns, both protected and unprotected. It was much more decisive. For me though it's still absolutely terrible with lane choices. From where I live, I need to make a left at a light, stay in that lane, and make a left onto the freeway. But FSD immediately moves over to the right lane after the first turn and then never makes it back over to the left lane for the left turn onto the freeway because of a solid white line that starts early. Very frustrating

12.5 main issues are just confidence. The hesitation, jerkiness, phantom breaking, all from lack of confidence imo.

Yeah. Just now it completely slammed on the brakes in the middle of the road for no reason. We really do need 12.6.

How will this version perform on a 2018 model 3?

Based on this video it seems HW3 can see everything but not react fast enough due to the lower frequencies in the hardware

When you went over the speed bump will the car learn to adjust, I don't know if it has like a type of machine learning will it learn to adjust to these types of environmental factors
@BlackTeslaСағат бұрын
No it's not currently learning as it goes, it learns with each software build which includes updates to the NN with more training data

Well, after 350 highway miles with 12.6 I have to say for me it is sadly terrible. 12.5.4.2 was much better for me. I hate the lack of the switch to keep lane changes to a minimum. The car has a definite big bias to go to the right lane(s). Not useful in mountain driving with two lanes and semis and trucks pulling trailers in the right lane. The car will pass one vehicle and immediately go back to the right lane. With heavy traffic in the left lane going by the slow traffic in the right line you will NEVER get out of the slow lane. At one point back in town on a freeway, I put the car in the diamond lane and after a mile or so, boom it moves two lanes to the right. Also it now no longer holds the center of the lane as it used to. On sweeping right and left curves the car biases significantly toward the inside of the curve, so much so that IT EVEN GOES OVER THE LANE DIVIDERS. Unacceptable and really no reason for it. This isn't F1 where we are trying to hit the apex of the turn. It even does the lane "drift" when other cars are passing in the next lane. When getting off of the highway at one point, once the car was barely off of the highway with a 75 MPH speed limit, it immediately dropped the speed limit (and the car speed ) to 35 MPH on a long off ramp. Completely unnecessary. This was never the behavior previously and I thank my lucky stars there was no car exiting behind me as no sane driver would ever drop his speed like that.

so fsd 12.6 was a fail..as expected
@9229kimhong3 сағат бұрын
Why do you think it is a fail. It is a version that needs to be supervised. Until it is said to be unsupervised, you cannot say it has failed. Tesla is admitting it will fail in your book. But in my book it is making progress. I am using v12.4.2. I can't drive any other cars not having FSD function if I have choice. You have to experience the progress and realize you become safer driver.
@lor8ancg2 сағат бұрын
@9229kimhong i never got 12.6 = fail, not too complicated..12.5.4 regression back to 11.xx = fail..my prediction 12.6.1 will = fail..not making progress just moving fail points around..I drive 70000kms / year 2+ hours at highway speed 5 days a week
