@@AutoAuctionRebuilds I was afraid that something would happen when they conveniently killed enough time while you were there waiting, so they could tell you that it was to late in the day for them to cancel it while you were there, and it would have to wait until Monday, especially when they knew that you drove 5 1/2 hours each direction to get the deal done. They should be exposed for doing crap like that. ANY business should be exposed. It only takes a few minutes to damage the reputation of a business, but it can take years to repair it.

Thats the one thing that has always sketched me about Tesla's business model. They could easily charge a small deposit to ship the car to your local dealer. Let you test drive it and see if you like it. If you don't, you can get your money back and be on your way. But i'd be damned if I have to finance or pay for the car in full a couple of weeks before I am able to physically see it and take delivery. That part has always been sketch to me.

To be honest I'd be glad to not have a "yoke". Although it would be cool to try out.. I don't think I'd actually want one on the day-to-day. Just seems like it'd be a pain to drive around city and downtown areas with. And the white interior.. it does look awesome when its fresh.. but I'd prefer the black too.

It really is crappy that dealers are not held responsible for misrepresented information. It’s easy to say “Randy you even suspected something was wrong - you should have inquired further.” Buyers do need to do their due diligence but sellers should be held responsible for providing accurate information as well.

I'm 62 years old. I bought my first car in 1976 when I was 15. It was a 69 Chevelle SS396 with a 4 speed and 4.10 posi. Since then I've owned other SS Chevelles and Novas, Z/28 Camaros, tri-fives and Corvettes. I've drag raced, road raced, raced asphalt stock cars, and my last car was an injected winged sprint car.... Needless to say, I'm a gear head and I have had absolutely no interest in Teslas or any other EV or Hybrid cars, but I will say, I think that Tesla makes some nice looking cars... Well about two weeks ago I took my first ride in an uber and it was a Tesla, so I started asking the guy about the car and said, lets see what all the hype is about these things being fast so he stuck his foot it in. I don't remember what model it was but it was pretty impressive. It was also really weird because I'm used to having a lot of noise when I accelerate . Will I ever own one, I really doubt it, but after riding in one, I'm not a hater... EDIT: Ironically the uber Tesla I rode in was the same color inside and out.. I mentioned that I'm not a hater, well there is one exception to that statement, and that is the cyber truck. The cars look nice, but I couldn't do one of those...

Well Randy my opinion on EVs is that they are an interesting development but still there is a lot to develop until they are practical world wide. I have no doubt that it is in the future but it is non here yet. The development has to be organic let it take its own route not press it to be here now. Pressing it will destroy it.

Randy in 2021 the Plaid model has the yoke steering wheel. These are selling used for over $70k. to $83K. The 2021 Long Range or Long Range Performance models with the round steering wheel are listed on the Tesla web site from $45K to $56k. Seems like the model you were buying got mixed up in the photos. I don't think Tesla mixed up the model year? The mix up is between the Plaid model and the other two 2021 models.

I've found several cars online, but always completed the sale in person after looking it over. Oh wait, I did buy a Celica GT-S from some used car dealer in OKC without looking it over in person! 😂😂😂. I guess the lesson is, screenshot or pdf everything when you buy something, or totally download the page to your laptop if you might need proof of the online ad. Love the content anyways! 😂

I'm a gasoline gear head and I have a Tesla, I love it, I've pulled up next to lots of built street racers and I've blown the doors off of lots of them, my Chevelle runs 11 seconds in a quarter mile and is nothing compared to my Tesla, it out runs the Chevelle in a quarter mile, but any further and the Chevelle would definitely catch up and beat the Tesla, but who runs a 3/4 mile race, lol 💯🤣😂

Hey Randy, I work in car leasing and I deal with many Teslas and believe me this is not first time I come across a situation like this. The thing is mistakes are made the problem is how you go about solving them and in my experience wih tesla it can be painful I've fund teslas customer care lackluster to say the least.

I had my attorney watched the video and he told me it is a bait and switch and it's a violation of contract law since Randy had an active contract to purchase the Tesla baised off what they advertised. And switched it. And under the law he's entitled to three times the amount of money back that he was supposed to pay . Amount would be $165,000

Reminds me of a bad service experience I had when I lived in Massachusetts. Had a Hyundai Elantra that only had like 43k on it and it would stall out without warning at a stop. Two different dealers 5 times total could not fund anything wrong with the car so I ended up getting rid of it. 😊

This service center screwed me and sold me a car that they claimed had the newer hardware 4, and come to find out that it had the old hardware 3. They told me there was nothing they could do, even though 2 employees told my wife and I that it had the upgraded hardware. I'm very disappointed in the KC service center. Travis Walker was the manager that I dealt with.

You also didn’t do your research. It’s a 2021 model year. Meaning it was manufactured 2020. The “Refresh” wasn’t released until 2021 and was a 2022 model year.
