I really wish they'd give the premium audio as an option in the configurator, for people who don't want/need the rest of the features the LR provides.

5:30 If you compare the Bass, the Bass in the Premium has a 2 step bass print (as it should be) in comparison to 1 step in the Partial. Listening on Sony WH-1000XM4

Partial premium doesn't sound bad if you only hear that. But even through these recordings you can tell a difference... premium has higher quality bass and low mids and overall more rounded sound stage

@@CasualTeslaFan Could just activate the front speakers with a wire harness, would be the easiest, cheapest and less invasive option and the least likely one to void the warranty. (Might still void it though, not sure) Also you should make sure you are getting the correct kit as well (if the car had AMD Ryzen or Intel processor and if it is Right or Left hand drive)

I wish I would have knew the difference when I bought mine. I have seen some sites that have a WireHarness kit that Activate Inactive 6 Speakers. I have not done any upgrades to the car, so this makes me hesitant to make any changes to the audio.

Great point. This is ultimately a recording that will never match up to the live experience. With all things being equal (compression, recording device, audio track, listening device, etc.), hopefully some may be able to notice differences, if any, between the two audio systems.

I bought my Tesla used and can’t figure out if I have premium. The speakers sound incredible but is it possible for a Standard Range plus to have premium? Is there like an option the previous owner could’ve selected for premium?

Hey Max no unfortunately there's no option for premium for the standard range. I've seen some users install 3rd party speakers but it's tough to do. I def agree and think the speakers still sound incredible!

Well hard to do if you’re not an audio technician/engineer I take it to a expert to install I got ambient lights, harness to unlock the 4 speakers, about to install a new amp, subwoofer from NVX it works for all trims an model 3s 2017-2022 special emailed the company fits no problem a bit pricy 718$ but you get a lot, amp, subwoofer loaded boost box 500 watts it’s a beast !! Install is Thursday!!

Can your mic pick up the difference in sound quality and then convert it to my speakers and then can my speakers covert the difference I'm guessing probably not anywhere near what real life live sounds like 🤔

Yeah the recordings definitely don't do either of the audio systems justice. The strength of the bass in the premium audio surprised me on a few of the songs and would have been awesome to capture that more along with the vibrations of the real life experience

I have the LR but never heard the standard, you can definitely put volume up high without music distorting like on my old x5 👍🏼

I guarantee that even the Tesla partial premium sound is still far superior to the sound I have in the Burmester Mercedes CLA250 (2023), which was an extra that cost 600 dollars and wasn't worth it and it has 13 columns, 1 amp, and 1 sub.

@@brenonaviator5683 given that the premium package adds a sub, you shouldn't really need a demonstration to know there's going to be a substantial difference in bass. For the most part, what I heard was the bass overpowering his mic, which made the highs and mids sound washed out.

Kinda bummed that you need to pay $ 50k+ and you won't get the full audio and the fog lights that the LR/Perf have. Should have been included at the price the LR is now. (Unless it is reduced again soon).
