Sold TSLA in the early weeks of January at 250.08, Bought it back in April at 140.56. It might still go higher further tomorrow, I'm really comfortable with the price I paid, and was not willing to risk having it go higher with me on the sidelines. I also think we have a crash (of some size) coming, but I expect a short hard rise first. Big money wants a chance to sell for a profit. I think that explains the sudden surge in volume today. I guarantee my opinion is worth exactly what you paid for it.

I am an idiot just like you SMR. I have not sold a single Tesla share since 2020 when I started investing in it. Albeit I am nowhere near your share count I do see a path to financial independence in a decade's time. I have that the same conviction over the past 5 years, many of us investing for financial independence would benefit greatly from a dividend being paid on all of our tesl stock. My hope is that Tesla starts to pay a dividend once net income from FSD/Robotaxi and Optimus outpaces their rate of spending for growth, that they will pay a dividend to help those of us who would like to hold the stock and live off of it without selling shares. TSLA has been good about allocating capital efficiently, so if we see a surge of cash without an efficient way of spending it, I hope that we will see a small dividend in the next 10yrs

I tried selling shares to buy Calls. I don't know how that turned out, who knows. Anyway I use margin so I'm forced to sell at times. On the upside my high cost are replaced by low cost shares. In the end it doesn't really matter what your cost basis is, what matters is your share count. I learn at every mistake. Maybe..., can't be sure.

Planed late '18 to buy late '19 but the TSLA crash along with Boeing crashing 2nd 737, biggest holding was BA, lost all confidence in them cashed out and waited for convincing TSLA bounce. Then sold everything else mid/late '19 for TSLA.

I am a big Tesla bull and have a long term price target of 3000 USD. I've been holding for years and now ONCE tried to time the market and failed. I sold 50% at 282 USD after election because I saw it as market over reaction. Now stock is at 320 USD and I have lost some serious winnings in the meantime. Still looking for a buy back opportunity.

You and me brother. Luckily I bought back before the election but still sold majority and have it in the S&P index and dividend ETFs. I diversified as the economy and presidency was unknown but now with trump at least next 4 years is a better future looks positive. I’m looking for a pull back to buy back more shares and I’m sure it may come but who knows could keep running up to $500 or 1k a share. Brings back memories of 2020 again but did give a big pull back.

But for real Nvidia is dong great things in the AI space. I believe they still have lots and lots of potential. But I've lately been thinking about diversifying my portfolio, maybe put in 20k in stock like Palantir. They seem to be doing great things in the space. What do you think about that?

Not bad picks. Stocks like Tesla and NVIDIA still have some way up to go. It's always a good idea to go over it with a financial advisor. You might get new insights on how to go about it and that increases your chances of making huge profit.

I agree. The issue is most people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but not equipped enough for a crash, hence get burnt, no offense. I always listen to Cathie Wood. She’s 100% correct 30% of the time. I fell for her shilling of Ethereum a few years ago. Fortunately I dumped it before it tanked and bought more TSLA and BTC. Throwing a fistful of darts over your shoulder at a board will almost certainly provide better guidance than ARK. How they have single customer is beyond me.
