Okay so I got two apps for you to play with this weekend. It is not a widget but a live wallpaper which I think is what you're really looking for if you're trying to do Bluetooth music. Both apps are made by the same guy Cypher Cove. The live wallpaper will cost you $1.49 I just bought it and it's awesome .I'm keeping it. In Google play its called audio glow live wallpaper. @@antonioknight2858 that has happened to me before also. What I did was recycle through all the modes again to face. Wait about 5 seconds between mode change. I have found if you cycle too fast it gets confused.

You literally saved my life man. I bought one of these from Phoenix Android Radios and the UI/Stock Interface was SO DAMN BRIGHT that I couldn't see the road on my 45 minute trip home from work every night at midnight. It bothered me so much that I drove my truck guzzling diesel instead of my little car to work some nights dreading having to drive home with the sun emitting from my dashboard. After watching your video at work on a break, I immediately went out and changed the UI to something darker and now I can see again. THANK YOU.

Hey brother. For your issues with the long press on the home screen. Instead of swiping up and going to tools. Just long press anywhere on the screen except where the widgets are. Works for me!

I just got one of these and I am digging it, but.....I think there is a harness missing since nothing plugs into the connector that went to my auto-ac module. The defrost seems to be on auto all the time and the climate controls on the T-radio do nothing. I also noticed the hazard button does nothing. My parking sensors are still doing their job but I hear no audio anymore. I do love this video though, gave me some great ideas.

Hey James, to my knowledge audio will not work on parking control according to the ram forum. And your other issue seems like you are missing a harness. You should contact the company you bought the units from and send pictures of the original Dash so they can give you the proper harnesses. Hope this helps brother

The only button I remember is loudness and it is in the settings. I don't recall anything for subwoofers. Do you have the Alpine premium system? Cuz I know for sure that does have a completely different harness system then RAM LO What did the boys say in the forum?

Thanks for the compliment brother. I had the same issue with Netflix too. 3 years later I still haven't figured it out. As soon as you do with Netflix thinks the device is just a normal tablet and you can just tilt it sideways to watch full screen. But instead with how the settings are set is blowing it up to fit the screen. I honestly just quit using it and downloaded about eight movies straight to the unit. If you want to get some real insight on aspect ratios to see if it even can be fixed I would ask a question to the guys in the Tesla style radio thread in XDA. Yes sir You can add a widget or you can tap the inside of that circle in the middle of the screen and it will change the logo to time or time to velocity and music. Every time you tap that middle portion it will change its function.

Great vides man! I have a 2017 Ram and it has an auto so if you set the temp (say 72) the climate control will ramp up the fan and slow it down when the temp is achieved. Do you know if this will do that?

It's actually not stock. It's called a Tesla style stereo. It runs the Android platform. It's a 10.4 in screen. It's one of the earlier models PX3 but still runs like a champ.

Hey Joseph, XM and Sirius radio are not supported by my unit. However it is 2 years old. At the time of me buying it, I could have got an RCA type module to hook into it, but I just never use those services.

I too own a 2014 ram bighorn 1500, I bought my tesler about 8 months ago and tried almost every android launcher on the market so that I could use this really cool media player, but the thing takes so dam long to load by the time is does youre already at your destination, I have pics of it on the ram blog site and everybody asks about it but I try to deter them away from doing what I did. SO!! I will now try the whole set up you showed on your vid and see what I think, judging by what I saw in your vid I think I most certainly will. If you decide you want to buy, send an inquiry. Somebody will contact you in a chat session. They will ask you to take a picture of your dash. This is all normal and to make sure you get the right unit for your AC system. Now my unit, (which is now almost 3 years old) took about 30 days to get here. I see they now offer air shipping. so I'm not sure how long that would take.

Hey Manny, I'm about to do a few more videos on this stereo. I can definitely include that as one of them. The easiest way to change your wallpaper is to download an app. Really any wallpaper app should work but I use Z-edge. After you have acquired the app download a few wallpapers from it that you like. Then go back to the car web guru home screen. Swipe of that page up. This will show a bunch of icons of things you can do. Tap the one that says wallpaper. Choose the wallpaper you want from Z-edge. The only problem I ever had with AC controls is it got stuck blowing towards the floor. To get it to work again I cycled through the settings real quick. I know other guys in the RAM forum That had AC problems it ended up being just an update they needed. I would email whoever you bought your radio from to see if you can get an update. Hey Chris, did it happen all of the sudden or has it always been like that since you installed it? The only adjustments I recall for backup camera are old style and new style. Is it an aftermarket camera? My first thought is make sure it is wired right and All connections are secure. Use a multimeter to test that it has 12 volt power to it.

I'm not sure what you mean by hiss, white noise. I don't have that problem but it might be related to the tone sound with touch. That can be turned off in settings/sound on touch/ off-on. Hope this helps out brother.

Hey Howard, thanks for watching. So to be 100% honest with you XM Radio is not going to work the way you think it is going to work. You need to have some type of wifi-enabled hotspot or 3-g dongle. Then download the SiriusXM app and play from the head unit. I'm pretty sure SiriusXM also sells a kit that you can attach to a radio so you do not have to use Wi-Fi. So the answer to your question is NO. I don't think you would be very happy with it straight out of the box. Thanks for the support brother!

I have a2109 ram 1500 I just purchase a Tesla style 8.1 radio I really like it but the settings is so complicate I need more information about to set the rear camera It works if I put camera rear view but when I do reverse doesn’t the same with the steering wheel answer bottom the radio gives a different view of the truck and will be awesome if the setup is easy but Isn’t. can you help me out !!

Hey Carlos, So what sparks me as being odd is you said a different view..... Do you also have a camera in your third brake light? So the view you're seeing when you hit reverse is your truck bed? If that's the case you just have your video aux cables switched. Easy fix but a little time consuming cuz you'll have to remove the stereo, switch the wires and then put it in reverse see if it works. Hope this helps brother Thanks for watching and your support!

Hey Lewis, I honestly stopped looking after this one works so well for me. I still use it to the day. I know as of a few years ago anyways, Nova launcher worked pretty well. Hope this helps brother.

First thing I would try is turning your AC on and off and then your heat on and off and switch back and forth a few times. If that does not work going to settings and then hit system version, a window will pop up put your finger on framework version and hold it there for about four or five seconds. Then punch in the code 7890 And OK. Then tap system Scroll down till you see air supplier. You can change to different ones and see if it works any better. I can't actually give you real-world advice about amps & subwoofers because I have neither in my truck. But with a 3-g dongle or if you hotspot your phone I am able to watch Netflix and hulu straight from my Tesla style radio. Hope this helps brother! Thanks for your support

Hey Keenan, I got the codes from XDA forum.xda-developers.com/t/tesla-style-headunits.3512709/page-107 I'm guessing it may not work for you because a third party changed it. I got my head unit straight from the manufacturer almost 3 years ago now. Unfortunately this radio has caught on so quickly and so many people are selling knockoffs of it It may be possible you have purchased one of those. I would check with XDA, share with them a screenshot of your model and operating system see what kind of answers you can come up with. I appreciate you taking the time to watch my video man.

Great Video! How did you get the Netflix app button on your home screen of the carwebguru? The app only shows up in the "app" menu from the top bar of the screen. It doesn't show up in the list of apps from the widget screen. Thank you in advance!

Hey Jonathan this was a year ago so if I remember correctly I just long press on where I wanted my icon to be and then chose the one I wanted for that spot. I'll have to re-watch my video again but I don't think I skipped anything. Hope that helps brother

Hey Bernie, Sometimes you have to create a folder in explorer. I think I also went this route and just named it wallpapers. And then move all the photos you want into that folder. I appreciate your support brother!

Good afternoon, Hey! got a quick question?, How did you get that ram head logo to come up on start up of the tesla head unit? OH! and I was very successful in applying your launcher and all it has to offer. The only thing is that the newer unit would not alow me to change the UI. when I got to that frame/page the options were in chines or japan, and was set up differently, I also got to that page a whole different way than you did, their is no system version. they took it out. but again thanks for the new screen even though the whole reason I changed it was to see if my media player would work well with it because its so dam slow, but nothing changed in that department, I want my media player to remember where it left off when I shut the truck down. I have to start all over again from the start witch takes quite some time, and it has forgotton what I was listening to. OH well " cant have it all" Thanks again!

So I got the ram logo by asking in the ram forum and SitKneelBend sent me the file. You're going to have to take a picture of your system information screen and post it on the RAM FORUM. Before I tell you how to enable watching video while in motion let me just first say it is illegal in most countries to play a video while driving. With that being said this is how you fix your problem. Go to the settings menu. It looks like a gear at the top right hand of the screen. Then tap advanced. Then type in the code 8861. It will pop up a new menu with all kinds of settings. Then just scroll down to "can't watch video in motion" set it to off. Done. So for the Wi-Fi, it is not an outside box or anything that needs to be installed It is already inside the unit. To get to it to turn it on navigate to the settings icon once again. Then tap the tab that says more settings. It will show a menu of all the Android functions of the device The very top left one should be Wi-Fi on or off. Make sure it's tapped in the on position. Then if you are like me and you hotspot your phone, Make sure your hotspot is on ,on your phone. Then go back to the previous menu on the Tesla style radio and tap the name of your hotspot. Then perform the regular setup, password and whatnot. Hope this helped you out brother. sorry for the late reply.

I installed the unit everything worked but when I installed my back up aftermarket camera weeks later my air controls stopped working? It set to blow cold on defrost can’t get it back to working properly any ideas? Air controls said on but now says off. I have reset unit and got nothing

@@nlambuca what I meant was the stock setup that came in the RAM had separate knobs for the AC and heater functions. The heater/ cooler was not connected to the stereo. The Tesla style radio integrated the AC heater controls into the stereo. Hey Curtis, I use the hotspot on my phone. You could also go to the route of getting a 3G dongle from your carrier. You would plug that into the USB port in the radio. I think most cellular carriers would charge around $30 for a 3g dongle service a month. Which is why I just use a hot spot on my phone. It's free! Thanks for watching brother

Hotspot can be used and also you can get a 3G dongle and pay a monthly service from your provider if you want... Hotspot is the choice of most. So yes, Spotify will need some kind of WIFI connection unless you mirror your phone or use carplay. Thanks for watching ☺

Hey Chris, mine still has the boot up logo. I changed it forever ago to the RAM emblem though. I never liked that white truck. But it still shows up for me, although I do have the PX3 model and not the PX6. I know the PX6 is fast boot, so if you have that model you might not see it. I don't know what model you have though brother.

Yeah mine works. Did you double check all your connections? it's been two years since I installed mine and everything still works believe it or not. I've had some quarks with the AC but cycling through all the modes fixed that. Is your Tesla style radio in a RAM?

Oh, Amazon is an easy return. Just a headache and the heartache of having to pull the unit out after the hopes of it working properly the first time. I would definitely send it back. I don't know how inspections work in your state but that's an automatic fail for me. Good luck to you brother

How did you get Netflix on your head unit? Mine is not compatible. Also, when I try to apply a background image (wallpaper) it stretches it pretty bad....did you run into that issue at all?

I'm pretty sure I downloaded it from Aptoide. It's similar to Google Play Accept way less secure. But with Aptoide you can download different versions of the same app. And I have had stretching issues which is why I typically use high quality abstract photos mostly.

@@pod0004 I'm not sure how the infinities are set up but for ram there was two ways to go about it my unit came with a GPS box which I mounted inside the dash. The higher end Rams used the existing GPS and plugged it into the back of the radio. I would check to see which one yours is and or reach out to who you bought it from and get direction from them. And if I remember correctly this 360 camera is in settings and can be turned on or off there. It may be off and that's the reason why it's not working.

Hey again. Been messing with the CWG and I really like it. I have a couple questions: Where do you put the wallpapers as far as on the internal drive? You showed in the video a few you had downloaded. At 7:46 of the video you have the background screens and one of them is "wallpapers" . How/where did you save them so they are in the folder? Another question: I listen to books on tape alot via BT. Can you keep the BT going when in reverse?

Is it just Bluetooth that shuts off in Reverse or all music shuts off in Reverse. Go to settings/system/reverse mute. Tap sound on. Reboot

Go into file manager and if you find the file in there click and hold on it. Then it should have a copy option at the bottom of the screen. Once you click copy push the back arrow and go to the DCIM folder and click paste. Once that file is in the DCIM folder you can load it as a background.

How do I set it so carwebguru launches straight away when I boot up my car instead of having to open the app? Also whenever I turn on my right indicator the whole screen is taken over by what I think is supposed to be a reverse camera (I don't have one so it's black), how do I turn that off?

Hey Tyler, carwebguru won't be able to boot up as a very first screen you see however if you hit the home button it should ask you what launcher you want to use and just pick carwebguru. And for your second question if you go into settings on your head unit there should be something that says reverse camera and just turn it off. Is this head unit in a ram?
