The "glitchy-ness" you mention is you being close to curb. Curbs & transitions from pavement to grass will be picked up and it'll warn you not to cut the wheel too hard

Sadly that’s not the case. It’s just glitchy because Park Assist from “Tesla Vision” isn’t ready. It’s freaking out showing semi trucks in people’s garage 😂 when it reads a wall

@@LuckyAeon that's has nothing to do with park assist though. There's always something like that pops up when I get in my garage but I'm guessing it thinks the driver prob has some sense and knows there's not a Semi next to you in the garage

@@dcheard2 It's literally showing up with Park Assist because the update needs work. You don't need to defend Tesla at every turn. I'm sure Vision will work out in the long run but right now this release is sloppy. Just because the driver knows there's not a semi in the garage doesn't excuse the software from showing it...

Hi, does this update available in the UK? I got my delivery of Model 3 AWD a week ago, but with out parking sensors.

I got my update the other day, while not entirely smooth yet im sure many updates to come and who knows, since we all been waiting months for it, maybe the released early just to get something out there. Will it actually stop the car after the "stop" tones start and you keep goin? I'd have to test that out.

The difference between the tesla vision and the 360 degree birdseye view is this. The tesla is creating a 3d world around it which, while not great now, will be essential for full self driving. The 360 degree birdseye is simply a stitched together video feed and the vehicle has no understanding or awareness of what is around it. Tesla has a lot of work to do to get this working properly but it is the best way forward to allow the car ro understand its surroundings.

Agree this is a the first step in the right direction. My intention was to show the visual differences between the two. In my opinion, Tesla has always been ahead of the curve when it comes to design. Take the HVAC for example. They have a beautiful 3D CAD drawing of the interior of the vehicle with draggable air flow. This little squiggly line for the proximity indicator just doesn’t seem up to par.

Just curious, do you also have Advanced selected in the software updates? You can access by tapping ‘Controls’ > ‘Software’ > ‘Software Update Preference.’ You can select between ‘ADVANCED’ or ‘STANDARD.’ Select ‘ADVANCED’ to receive software updates as soon as they become available for your vehicle configuration and region.

Thanks for the video. You maybe forgot what it was like before or did not have the right uses cases before for it to be annoying. My three main uses cases are a) reversing out of my tight and long driveway, during which I have to due a turn to face forward where there is a risk I hit the front right of my car against the fence b) tight carpark entrances where you can scratch your curb as the MY turning circle is horrendous and c) tight multistory carparks. It all three instances knowing the distance from the side and having audio is critical. I have not tested it yet thoigh so may still have issues like you do. I would like to say it feels like better than nothing but some other reviews are showing distance accuracy issues and if that's the case this is not good.

Thank you for the comment. I agree, if it saves me from rashing my rims, I could get over the annoyance of the multiple chimes. I am glad to hear you see value in the update, I don’t want to sound to spoiled given the fact that we have come to expect every update to be mind glowingly awesome 😎 .

Having driven my MY on a road trip for a week with the family after the update I have changed my mind. I think the parking assistant is next to useless. It's just not accurate so I can't trust it. So it actually makes a crash, bump or scratch more likely and not less.

Got mine updated, not very accurate but better than nothing. Hopefully it gets better over time

Hopefully they will refine it and keep iterating until it improves.
