You will get at least upgrade 2.1 soon. The austrian fisker limited subsidy that anounced bankruptcy under self management yesterday is also a good sign for you cause those 50 employees are the hub and connection of Fisker and Magna, so they must be the software guys who had lead the UI developement and what not. Why is it any good ? Well, europe is different cause if you file for bankruptcy in time then you can do that under self management which will give you 3 months more to operate and the staff will not be laid off like in the USA but stay cause their contracts are still valid and they can not leave instantly cause they will get paid by the unemployment insurance of austria - same in germany. So the employees there are not loosing any money or what else. The 3 month are a time to restructure and operate without the load from the debts of the past. And this means that Fisker austria will survive the mother company Fisker Inc. most likely which will also might offer a final update beyond 2.1 cause I expect that they are working on a kind of final gift fixing the biggest issues that are fixable in that time frame and also look for some minor bugs. 3 months - and that it depends on how smart the Fisker owner group might be cause the most important asset should be part of the Fisker Austria company which will be sold in august or later. Especially all the documententation, laptops and what not which are required to upgrade the cars manuallly and to develope the software further. Not sure, but what should a staff of 50 employees do in a tiny market of 9 million citizens ? Quite fair review or presentation of the car - no , I have none, I had been in the car industry here since 1988 when I started studying in the oldest car comoany of the world and came across those with the 4 rings and also the 911 guys, suppliers and what not. Great purchase and I bet it will pay of cause the times are a lot better then back in the days of the Karma which is a far more complicated car as a hybrid with an electrive part which had not been sold that much. I guess the new fisker ocaen america owners club should find solutions for every thing and I still bet that Land Rover might be a buyer cause it would fit perfectly to the Landrover Evoque like styling and would save Landrover from paying CO2 emission fines which are 100 $ per g and those big Land Rover engines are known for CO2. The only way out for Landrover is to compensate with sold EV to get below 95 gr CO2 fleet average (plus maybe 10 gr due to heavier weight) or they would have to buy from Tesla and other EV manufacturers CO2 emission rights. Therefore Fisker might be bought by Landrover, gets a new badge and they can continue after bankruptsy soon cause Magna will be able to restart the assembly line, they can also negotiate a new price for the parts and cars to lower the cost and offer a Landrover OCEAN for a good price - without the debts and obligationsn of the old Fisker Inc. Good luck !

The original Fisker Karma is a great car. Especially if you have the tools to fix the expensive things on the cheap. It really makes sense to get a $20k Karma and enjoy it, especially if your commute is a short one. A big warning is that the CSP for Fisker are very closed about sharing any information or details of repair/service. I had to start a KZbin channel to get information out there to Karma owners. The Fisker repair community (literally 7 dealers, he wasn't kidding), tried everything they could to get me to stop posting information on battery repair and a few things that commonly fail. I also was able to upload and link the original factory repair manual for others to use for FREE. They WERE NOT successful in stopping me, and thankfully I have a nice series on battery repair and answer all questions quickly! I really wish people would start working together on things and stop the money grabbing for every little piece of information that should be public domain.

Sure, but let's be real, that's not really the case. If that is such a big issue, what happens when you need to change the temperature? Get a screen notification? Have to look out the side, or take a long blink when tired. Glancing to the side is more of a hassle that you live with than a safety concern. And anyway, regarding speeding, you've got other cars on the road to compare too (which i know many Americans drive by), speed limit warnings or automatic speed control. Magna Styer agreed on terms that would ultimately have them deliver cars that were not completed and lacked essential, advertised features. Fisker drove this collaboration into the ground... I wonder if Magna Styer was compensated for their hirings and setting up of production facilities...

I really REALLY wanted to buy an Ocean. So many things I see going wrong. I saw one with a cracked solar sky due to winter and a piece of weather strip that caused it. I saw another with a damaged piece surrounding the solar sky potentially due to when the Ocean is on a decline or include the solar panel does not close well, potentially buckling the surrounding piece. When a 12v needs to be replaced you need a Fisker tech to recalibrate the back most doggie windows and all 12v will need to be replaced at some point with potentially no tech available. Multiple cars immobilized due to OTA updates that failed mid install draining the 12v and needing a tech to fix. One of which the tech is baffled and can't get it going. Brake failure on one where the owner offered me $25k with many many issues and he just wants out. Back cockpit lights that do not go on, Keyfob issues. Door handle with one owner in Arizona where the plastic white insert deteriorated. Minor accidents with no parts that total the Ocean. Alarms that go off and can't be stopped. Power loss on some earlier cars. Brakes that slam on which caused several injuries. AC/heat vents failing. And those are things off the top of my head, if I think more I could probably remember more. And with parts being an issue tech can't even ifx the Oceans with issues even if they could get to you. AND a lack of response on phone lines. I tried to call, out of curiosity. I was on hold for 56 minutes and got cut off. There is NO WAY I am buying an Ocean, absolutely NO WAY!!!!! I didn't even mention that very near bankruptcy and the complete and total lack of communication with customers beyond service, just in general to give potential buyers some insight. NOTHING.

I saw one in Glasgow, Scotland. Because I had not seen one before I had to ride my naturally aspirated bicycle round the back of it to see what it was. This was in the car park at a Sainsbury's supermarket. Note that my bicycle gets to park right next to the door, in the dry, with that spot never taken, and no need to walk more than five paces into the store. The Fisker Ocean was some way from the front door and, due to its bulk, that parking and getting in and out of the car park would really stress me out. I don't see why anyone would want to do that to themselves unless they were an elderly boomer with mobility issues. The humble bicycle for the win.
@markmuir73387 ай бұрын
As a Scot who used to cycle as my main form of transport, I concur - if you live in Scotland. But when I moved to California that became completely impractical (too hot most of the year; distances too far; people looking at you like you’re insane; having to cross 4 lanes of traffic on a 55mph speed limit every time you need to turn left; having to take longer routes than cars because you can’t use the freeways). But I go back to the humble bicycle whenever I visit Scotland - cycling faster than the traffic never gets old!

Well, someone, maybe you, just needs to figure out what mix of parts it is, cars are like legos, it will 99% not be anything custom. IE. for fisker karma you also do not need special diagnostics, but it is chevy volt + ford mondeo 4 + ford focus + ford fusion phev + for fusion duratec + saab 9-3 to connect to pretty much all the system. Same will be here, just takes time to find out, or you can wait for someone to do it for you. It is not just click done, so do not expect car repair shop to be able to do it. ... well now I have written this, it occurred to me, that Tesla is pretty much the only exception running mostly custom stuff.

Here’s the complete list of new features and improvements included in the Ocean OS 2.0 software update, according to Fisker: Revised Front / Rear Torque split: In the Fisker Ocean’s dual-motor All-wheel Drive powertrain models (One, Extreme, and Ultra), the power distribution ratio between front and rear wheels is changed from 50:50 to 45:55. This update improves traction and handling performance, making the Ocean even more sporty and dynamic in both Fun and Hyper drive modes. Automatic Vehicle Hold: Automatic Vehicle Hold (AVH) replaces the Ocean’s existing Hill Hold feature, increasing vehicle hold time to improve driver ease and comfort. AVH activates brakes when the vehicle is stationary, and only releases brakes when the driver presses the accelerator pedal to begin moving the vehicle. This improvement was driven by customer feedback: the existing Hill Hold was designed to maintain brake pressure for approx. 2 seconds, and AVH now maintains brake pressure until driver is ready to move vehicle. SolarSky upgrade: On Extreme and One trims, a new SolarSky energy meter in the Charging/Energy menu on the Central Touchscreen shows how much solar charging is being delivered to the vehicle. Trailer Sway Mitigation: This stability control system feature counters trailer sway, making towing safer and more relaxed. Brake Disc Wiping: In wet weather, the braking system automatically and imperceptibly clears water from brake disc surfaces, to improve braking response. Standby Time controls: Standby Time controls on the Central Touchscreen allow drivers to adjust the amount of time the infotainment system stays in standby mode, reducing battery usage and increasing vehicle range. Drivers may experience longer vehicle boot-up time when Standby Time is reduced, in order to benefit from this reduced power consumption. Driver Profiles: Multiple drivers can save their preferences, privacy, and comfort settings in their own user profiles, including climate control and audio settings. Performance improvements: Improved energy management and power retention Reduction in state of charge (SoC) loss while parked Calibration changes in cabin heating and cooling to improve defogging Improved heating/cooling performance in Earth Mode OTA updates able to be installed while vehicle is plugged in (note: charging pauses during software update). Revised audio tuning for improved bass response on Extreme/One Key fob performance enhancements, to improve response Improved accuracy in trip metering Improved accuracy in energy consumption metering

I just had a quick browse on AutoTrader UK (coz that's where I am) and for a 2024 model 73kwh with delivery miles - £23,859 😲 Bargain ! You want the 4WD 113Kwh model - £29,499 😲 I think that is an absolute steal for the specs alone, I wouldn't get one personally because in the UK it's group 50D insurance as far as I know (maybe that's changed due to the company's financial position) and my current Nissan LEAF is group 21 (My 3rd LEAF since 2015 😁), but apart from that, I love the look of the cars design, there are some niggles in the software & build - and I would take Influencers (like Marcus) with a large dose of salt & do my own research and look at the car personally myself 👍 thanks for the quick unbased review 😁

Sorry Rich, but I can adjust fan speed in both our Teslas right on the steering wheel with the scroll wheel button. In the X I just move the scroll wheel, in the 3, I press it for 2 sec and then scroll it as I keep it as the primary option. Rotating screen is unnecessary and a potential break nightmare. Screen should be landscape anyway which is why all Teslas are that way now. For watching video and having display closer to your view. Gauge display is not necessary at all. Plus steering wheel obscures display anyway in most cases. Heard 70 year old picking up his new model 3 say "this is the first time ever in my life I was able to adjust steering wheel to where I wanted because it would not block part of the gauge cluster" (because the model 3 just has the one center display) Prefer display on our model 3 versus 2 displays on the X.
