Living in Phoenix where air conditioning means huge summertime power usage, I would need a 50 KWh battery to allow 24 hour operations even with full sunshine. However, the feed in tariff or net metering here is $.10 per KWh which is much more cost effective than trying to recoup the investment in a battery. So I installed a very large solar system and skipped the battery.

What is the reliability of the QCell system? I read they use a rebranded Solax inverter. There is very little information and reviews about the QCell ecosphere online.

It can be charged from grid only when it is allowed to do so. (there's an Enable /Disable charge from grid option)

A single backup gateway actually supports up to 10 powerwalls and depending on the house (if it has 20 powerwalls I think "palace" is more accurate than "house") main service panel you could have two of them

Might be different in the US but mine at 240 volts will do 5000 watts continuous. Surge to 7500

His numbers are for the first gen power wall, not like your numbers for gen 2. He needed to stay consistent for his comparisons. If he did then the Tesla power wall would have 92 points, SMA with 88 points and the Q cells with 89 points. So with the weather and power outages and rolling electric companies, do you need more capacity? Well if you are in Texas or some other areas of fire or wind and ice, I would bet you wish you did. So for the Tesla to spend $5000 more to get more capacity I think it is worth it. But it will be interesting to see what happens to Tesla with Generac controlling the monitoring program for Tesla.

@@cliff7634 He's quoting grid discharge/charge power, which indeed is limited to 3.3kW. Power to your loads panel and from solar is 5kW continuous and peak surge for 10 seconds at 7kW. Edit: i didn't finish watching. He might actually be quoting PW1. Kinda hurts his credibility here. We install nothing but PW2 (we have LG but you can only stack them in series limiting you to 4 circuits no matter what). When it comes to installed costs (including modifications for electrical that's almost always needed) for power output and capacity, we haven't found anything to replace our supply of PW2 with.

We are certified for Eguana but do not offer it. We have not been certified for the new LFP Evolve system, and have been looking into.

Eguana does supply Q CELLS with a battery solution in the EU but not in the US.

Then I am interested to see this comparison with the new hybrid inverters, that can handle both DC and AC in one device. And then especially to also see the flexibility to connect various other brands of battery to such a hybrid inverter.

The product you're referring to is Q.HOME+ ESS AC-G2 and is for the EU: www.q-cells.eu/products/energy-storage/qhome-ess-ac-g2.html The current model in the US is not from Equana Technologies.

Just do a comparison with Powerwall and other storage battery otherwise this comparison is worthless by including solar panels. Also do your company offer all three options QCell , SMA and Tesla Powerwall otherwise if you only offering SMA and QCell your being biased. If you make a comparison of the house typical house it seem Tesla with their Solar and Powerwall is still cheaper. FYI- A 8.2 kW Solar system with 2-Tesla Powerwall cost $33,400 and with incentive cost is $24,700 So Tesla is still cheaper. Your number and comparison does not add up. The Pricing we provided is based on contractors like ourselves doing the installation. Of course if you buy directly from Tesla you can expect better pricing, but many consumers choose us or other contractors to install their Powerwall's because of Tesla Solar's poor customer service and lack of sales support.

All of sudden now you have to come out that your customer service is better than Tesla just to just to justify your poor comparison and misleading video 🙈.

@@dalerolph Tesla monitors the system for failures. Not complete failures mind you. When they see them they send out a new unit to be installed make an appointment and get it changed out for no charge. That seems to be great service to me. I have never had an issue talking to them and I'm not a customer of any of their products or services.

@@cliff7634 Now that’s what I like hearing. Working with Tesla Advisor now. Will ask him about failure monitoring, obtaining and installing replacement. Mostly concerned if inverter “dies” while I’m absent from residence for extended period.

Tesla is scored with 1 powerwall, but priced with 8. So the results are stacked against the product you don’t sell. This exposes your lack of integrity. Would never do business with such a vendor.
