Tesla VS Toyota // it’s become the new ideological rivalry in the auto industry.

Over the last couple years, Toyota has been heavily criticized for questioning an immediate, full scale EV adoption. But now, a lot of the car companies that made extravagant claims about going full scale EV by certain dates… are embarrassingly having to walk back those claims. And a lot of them are now claiming that low & behold, ‘hybrids’ are a good solution after all. Was Toyota right to be more careful & cautious?

"keep it simple" definitely EV "keep it affordable" EV, I drive at 2p per mile "keep it serviceable" the best service is no service, EV again "keep it durable" wear and tear on an EV is a lot less as it is caused mainly by high temperatures and vibrations with are both a lot higher on an ICE car. "sustainability is what this is all about", no it's not, it's always about affordability "EVs we don't have enough history" yes we do, the Tesla Model S was released in 2012 and lots of people have reported on how well old Teslas are doing now. "Tech becomes quickly obsolete" it's the not keeping up with tech that causes obsolescence "Driving an EV to save the planet" no, I drive an EV to save my finances
