Surprised you didn’t show it working after reassembly. I’m still thinking a never wet coating might be the better way to go.

We did at 35:01, but didn't at the very end. After everything was reassembled, the tube was pinched in the rocker area. After finding that and fixing it, it worked fine. You could definitely put QuickView on it, a ceramic coating specifically for glass/windows - tesbros.com/products/gyeon-quickview-bundle

If you guys offer this as a service I’d recommend a magnetic drill press to drill that hole out a lot quicker.

Maybe a step drill bit would have been better imo. I will assume the CT warranty is done-zo 🤔. This reminds me of 2018-2019 Model 3 ‘s w/no auto trunk release. There were aftermarket sales for it all over the place, until Tesla incorporated into the next gen 3’s, and subsequently offered retrofit kits✌🏻😎. Surely Tesla will do the same w/the CT, thereby rendering this obsolete. Next gen CT’s will likely have more features built in such as: - folding front/center console seat - fold flat front seats - carpeted door pockets - frunk AC outlets - built in air compressor - running boards (as an option) - folding center bed tray - powered bed window - rear bumper camera (for either towing and/or when driving/w/the bed open) Tesla will incorporate these in an attempt to stay ahead of the new R1, Silverado, and Lightning imo 🤔.

That drilling was pretty scary. I don't think it is something I would attempt. Nicely done though.

Yeah we try to warn folks about this if they aren’t comfortable. Going slow is key. Even for me it traveled a little to the left.

Great feature but think it’s a pro install required. Tesla could easily add this from factory.

It's possible they could in the future! But yes, for now, it's a pretty intense install

Wow! The amount of time and effor! Seesh! Was it worth it for all that work to spray fluid, so excessive, to clean the camera that requires a car wipe down? Just manually wipe the camera! 😅

Even though it's a labor and time intensive process, I'm glad I did it. Totally understand the argument for manually cleaning the camera, but it's very convenient when I'm traveling. That camera is the only way to see behind me when the tonneau cover is closed, so a quick spray while I'm driving is much more accessible than pulling over and cleaning it.
