Would this help in finding a lost cat in brush/woods? Range would be less than 100 yards.

Don't get a new device. A thermal device has a span of 20+ years. Just ge a thermal from 2017 - 2021 used for 300- 800 Just keep the specs in mind. You need: 384 x 288 detector resolution 19mm or 25mm lens size 12ug or 17ug pixel pitch Screen resolution not important Good luck

Important is the Pixel pitch. You need 12ug pitch or maximum 17ug pitch. And don't get anything under 384x288 resolution. The Display is not important. But you need 384x288 detector/Sensor resolution. Don't get a new device. A thermal device has a life span of 20+ years. Just get a used thermal from 2017 - 2021 for 300 - 800. Bought one don't expect to see anything registering beyond 150 yards with zero obstructions ...lazer is useless other than dog chases it ... overall waste of money take your 1000 cad. bucks and put it towards something better like a hikemicro ect.....
