Tesoro Compadre Review

Have an old tesoro silver sabre 2 that i bought new in 1993. Its pretty much the same machine as the compadre except the sabre has a sensitivity setting. This old tesoro has been beat and thrashed for nearly 30 years now and it still works as good as the day i brought it home. Its a real shame that tesoro is no longer in business, they built quality detectors that could be abused and still last forever

Powerfull tool . No matter what Some may say about it .. It is a fantastic if not the best back up detector ever..

same story here. very happy with this as my first, and only, metal detector in over three years. very light, can swing it for hours.

I just cover the speaker with my hand when I power on. It's better than messing your machine up with duck tape.

I'd like to ask what the max depth is that you've dug a coin? I have the same model as you. Even with an air test I'm not getting any deeper than 3 to four inches. I'm guessing something is wrong and I'm going to be sending it in. I can see such potential in this machine. I have it set so that it's a real coin and jewelry machine however the depth is truly not more than four inches.
