Tessa seems so popular in Canada but I can’t believe she’s only got 370k follows on Instagram. Other talentless reality tv stars esp in the U.K have 2/3 million followers. Tessa is so ambitious even though she’s won everything there is with the skating world. it's a bit disappointing - it would be nice to see her show passion for the performing arts, do a lot with dance for example and with dance/ice-dance related foundations and charities, but to each their own and I'm sure she'll eventually end up doing what's most fulfilling for her - people with this amount of strength and discipline always do.

@@elliest55 oh boy. Translations incoming, get ready. 1. EQ (emotional intelligence) and IQ (Intelligence) are a total opposite... Meaning people who have more IQ, lack EQ, and vise-versa... logically. Her character says it all, she is one of those people (lacking EQ because she is highly intelligent). Everything she says sounds honest and of course rehearsed, you never find those people not prepared, but she does believe in what she says, she means it as it aligns with her behavior as well. 2. No, I wasn't equating EQ with drama queens, I was saying usually people on TV tend to be over dramatic to gain attention, that was never her goal... Finally, I am quite well, thank you! so kind! @@TianaT4 I know very well what EQ and IQ mean and I have no idea where you came up with the notion that they are opposite and that there is a trade-off (the higher the one, the lower the other)! It makes absolutely no sense, unless you are thinking of specific conditions, like Down Syndrome (low IQ -high EQ), or ASD (high IQ-low EQ) but even then, these are very rough and often misleading marked tendencies. In the general population there is absolutely no such trade-off! EQ has to do with empathy, social skills, face-reading and mind-reading abilities. It is completely ridiculous to suggest that people who score high on conventional intelligence tests automatically score low in those traits/skills! PS Glad you're OK - it means we can have a proper debate :)

Still technically a figure skater. Ice dance is a discipline of figure skating. You will even hear Tessa and Scott be introduced as "The most decorated Olympic figure skaters of all time" at Stars on Ice shows and other professional events. Most ice dancers do prefer to be called ice dancers, but they are technically still figure skaters.

So glad for Tessa to pursue her dreams. I saw the TV series, Tessa and Scott, and Scott is very temperamental . It had to be hard gauging what mood he was going to in on a daily basis. I used to wish them married but after watching that program I have to say She needs to be away from him. Her current boyfriend seems more relaxed and easy going. Hope she is happy.

There's nothing wrong with Tessa. It's Scott's choice. Every time they finished a competition, he'd run to someone else. And Tessa didn't seem particularly desperate. I'll admit, from 2016 to early 2018, Scott's attitude may have suggested he was more involved. I also remind you that Scott put this woman's name on his athlete file. Why? Is a little girl who skated with you for a few months important enough to put her name on your athlete file as your first skating partner? Also, only six months after the Olympics ended, Scott started dating this woman in August 2018 and she filed for divorce in November of the same year. So either Scott was dating this woman even before the Olympics ended or it was really a stroke of lightning. Also, it is the same Scott who gave an interview in which he said that sooner or later he would have to make the choice to leave skating and consequently Tessa if he wanted to start a family. Apparently, his girlfriends frowned on his closeness to Tessa. I'm sorry because in their attitudes I have seen love and I'm not talking about when they were on the rink. But currently they are putting into practice what they have always said and that is that they have different interests and are different people from each other. They are both over 30 years old and despite this they still haven't understood what kind of deep feeling that binds them. That's what Tessa said in an interview. Or one of them figured it out and the other one didn't. For the moment sentimentally their paths are different and if they meet again it will probably be for work. There is another person involved who has a ring and is expecting the wedding.

In ome of the commen5s its mentioned rhst Scott was a bit unstable/volatile. Must have been exhausting for her. You can only love some people from a safe distance. She worked w him and had to withstand that for many years. She did the smart thing.
