Thank you both so much - loved the reactions. In a nutshell we write in various ways but you were right in that larger songs like this are a huge sonic jigsaw at times. Normally when an idea comes my way I’ll add a vocal idea that might suggest where the songs goes or visa versa! All the best - Dan

Dan, thank you so much for checking out our video! this song is so kick ass! Thanks for giving us insight on the writing process. As aspiring musicians ourselves, we’re always curious how bands dive into the writing process for their music. Can’t wait for the album!

I really enjoyed hearing your input on this as I myself, as a long-time fan, was always curious about how the writing process went down. I can't wait to hear what's next as I'm sure it will be nothing short of amazing! As a drummer myself, I definitely enjoy Jay's work on this track, but I do feel everyone had their moments of glory. I'm also very excited to see you guys again in Baltimore this fall!

According to lead singer Daniel Tompkins, “War Of Being is a fight for acceptance, a battle of existence and a resistance against ego. It’s a struggle for control as we cut through the white noise of reality. It’s the need to know and identify with oneself, to accept and understand what we stand for and who we are. There is an urgent need to ‘Tear the mask away’ and reveal your true self.” Figured that would maybe give some context to the song, and visualizer. Kind of like the two characters in the video are showing the struggle between "your true self", and the "ego".

Funny you mention destiny visuals, it was my first reaction to the visuals. Dan looks like he's in the black garden. And that lady in white looks like she's in some other vex structure.

Dan is a fan of souls' games and Ive caught him playing Elden Ring on stream before. So I think a lot of that visual dna made its way into this video. So, less Halo (love halo tho), more Sekiro / Elden Ring.

That does not feel like acting, and that did not look like fake tears for production value. Not one bit. Every bit of Dan's emotion in this is so authentic. As a musician this band constantly begs me the question "How?!"

@@dreamzeromusicofficial I can ONLY scream like that when I'm in fight or flight mode. Period. My adrenaline has to be dumping, and Im Physically wrecked afterward. For a while. Not just my voice either, my entire damn body To manage that in studio and without damaging yourself.... Wut???!!! I actually fancy myself a rather adept guitar player as well. There's no way in hell I can lay or write like that. Your damn right about this making you want to practice

@@dreamzeromusicofficial and same thing happened to me. I used to jam tesseract hard years ago. But I kinda fell away from them. Took me like a week to finally sit down and play this song too. What a mistake that was. I want to say it's been a long time since a track smacked me upside the head like this one. But I honestly don't think any track from any artist has ever hit me like this one did I know tesseract well, I don't know why I'm surprised it's so fucking tasty. I almost feel shameful for not plugging this band at every opportunity like I one day did. It feels good to fan-girl again. This was the only band that ever really brought that side of me out hahahaha. When tesseract comes on, I feel like a high school kid in the early 70s on acid listening to pink Floyd for the first time. Or some kid in the 60s on acid discovering the grateful dead. I truly hope Dan or any of the guys have seen me comparing them to Pink Floyd and the Grateful Dead. And I truly hope it makes them feel honored. (The vibes of quality, dedication, and professionalism I get from. Tesseract, I've only ever felt elsewhere through Pink Floyd and the Grateful Dead. Def not a stylistic comparison. I'd almost call it an energetic or spiritual comparison, and this is coming from a not so energetic or spiritual person.
