Put some plates betwene frame and technic brics and connect technic bricks to frame by some horicontal beams or technic brisćks also if you take off frames and instead use technic bricks and plates you ´ll have much stronger base, or just slow down lol xd

Interesting, the gears seem to have a 1:3 transmition. For the first ones this is roughly consistent: 200rpm, 600, 1800 But then the increase in ratio goes down, seems as the torque goes up it slows the motor down.
@Kallum2 жыл бұрын
Low speeds mean there is high torque available, and vice versa. Since more torque is needed to turn the shaft due to the extensive gearing, it cuts down on speed. This is what is observed in the video. To make the transmission ratio increase constantly to 1:3, either more voltage needs to be applied over the DC motor circuit (which is not a good idea), or a second parallel motor needs to drive the circuit over a second shaft
@playaaaLV2 жыл бұрын
@@Kallum that's an explanation I was looking for in the comments section, thank you so much! Surprisingly nobody bothered about the reason behind this sudden and significant drop in RPM. Probably everyone just got that naturally... well, I guess I'll need to pass the secondary school program in physics once again.
@Kallum2 жыл бұрын

The point where the friction of plastic against plastic starts to actually slow it down instead of speeding it up when adding the next gear ratio is interesting. If there was a way to greatly reduce that drag, (like with an oil like sewing machine oil, or even by using actual bearings on the shafts or something like that), then you'd probably surely be able to reach that goal of 10K RPM... Or maybe even exceed it... But you will probably also have to find a way to make the LEGO guy more of a *balanced* load when spinning, that way the entire contraption doesn't just vibrate apart and fly all over the room, lol!
