FALLEN WORLD The thumbs down are probably due to the amount of problems he found within the first 5 minutes. Credit to him for being honest. I’m guessing they (Maple) get so much business that they don’t need to fully vet these cars before buying them to then sell. People’s eyes get big when they see glossy paint and a little bling. So much gets overlooked when someone is in that fuzzy headed state. Whomever Maple Motors acquired it from clearly threw it together to make it look pretty. But that car needs a lot of work. And if you don’t know how to fix it yourself you’ll be spending big money to get it straight.

I don't know if I'm older than you Nick, but if you can recall back in the 1970's, it was popular to have a switch for the back up lights, so that if someone got close behind you, you could give them the lights, since you don't have a horn that blows backwards. Just don't do it to a "plain wrapper". .

I like the 1968 Cameros. Because 1968 is the year of my birth!!!... I am looking to buy the all green olive and 2 black strips with 1968 on top, BIG thick tires in the back, and small tires in the front..nice/new seats, etc inside...it looks like a car race... I dislike 4 small tires and it makes the Camero car look flat... I experienced seeing the many old classic cars. Harley Davidson motorcycles, etc when I was a kid in the 70s. I am lucky that I rode on any old-fashioned cars when I was a kid. Actually, I was unthinkable and felt normal while riding the old classic cars, trucks, etc when I was a kid.

Wendell Harper Agreed. Beyond that all the little things wrong point to bigger things. Flashy paint with reproduction emblems covering up possible rust. Right front tire hitting on bump possible collapsed springs shocks. Play in steering possible worn steering box, tie rods. Smoke from exhaust possible engine problems. Replaced dash, gauges hiding possible high mileage. Manual switch for backup lights and fuel gauge not working possible corroded wiring harness. Finicky shifter possible transmission problems. Looks to me like a putty and paint flip car. I wouldn't touch it.

Prob. To pass inspection back in the day when the inspector would let you pull in. Cut lights on,horn,Reverse etc. You would cut switch on. Before insurance became crazy.

Generally it's because the backdrive linkage has been disconnected because the headers were installed.

It has a 4 speed manual, thus it dosen need such a high rear axle ratio. It probably can drop to a 4.11 for easier higherway crusing.

Asking a hell of a lot of money for a car that probably needs a complete rewire, guages do not work along with many other items you mentioned; smoke coming from exhaust when you stepped on it so it may need valve seals; come dude get real you'll sell it to someone who doesn't know crap about cars.

David Atkins this is the price these cars are going for now , if someone wants one fully sorted you are looking in the 40-50k + range . I say it's a good thing there are places like this that offer more reasonably priced cars that just need a little attention . Makes them a little more available to folks that dont have the 40-50k + to drop on one . Just my humble opinion .

It looks like almost all the cars he sells are "drivers", and not frame off, fully restored trailer queens that you are afraid to get a stone chip in the paint IF you do drive it. These cars are selling for prices that a working man can afford, and enjoy driving them, while fixing some of the minor flaws they have. People watch to much Mecum, and Barrett/Jackson!!!
