One of my favorites, but this one has too many issues for the price. They also ignored one of the most important aspects of these old Corvettes, the bird cage. If the bird cage is rotted, the cost to repair would be more than the cost to purchase (assuming it could even be repaired). Unfortunately, there’s no way of knowing unless they document what the condition is or you go and check it out yourself.

Do you need to get a car inspected in Tenn.? This car wouldn't pass here in VA where I live. Needs lots of work to make it 'driver quality' and I wouldn't even consider it without a compression test. I would guess you need to spend $8-10K to make it a 'nice' car. That puts you right at a C6 Corvette money with low miles and good options. But hey, if love the look and can do a lot of the work yourself pay $25k and roll the dice. Any more than that and you are taking all the risk.

Beautiful car but needs some work. At the asking price everything should work including the horn. :) Very nice top down cruiser though. I wanted to shout, "Don't fall out!" when you were doing the camera drive over. :) I saw that exhaust clamp coming and was thinking they should have turned it up so it would hit anything. I know you guys don't work on your cars but sometimes it seems like if you had someone fix the little things you could get more money for you cars.

Valve lash adjustment-no biggie, kickdown adjustment is somewhat precise, sounds like idle jets and screw and possibly timing adjustment to address high idle. Little bit of blow-by toward the end but runs nice! Pretty car!

Yes gotta beware of those old 350 with over 375 hp. And with a close ratio m21 and 4.10 gears they were good competion for the LS 6 454 vette. Don't kid yourself the 350 was also about 100 lbs lighter also.

What I don't get if there are simple issues that would help make a better first impression why don't you have a detailer do it? "like buff out scratches or oxidation, like the scratches you mentioned, or any chrome that needs buffed. At least Maple motors does point out most of the stuff. Many dealers don't and hide all that. Most cars look good in pics if paint is decent

Without verification of the condition of the bird cage around the windshield and rot in the recesses of the frame, this could become a money pit for the next owner. It does however have the one thing needed for easy online selling, a paint job that shows decent on the Internet. Corvettes like this one are what keep companies like Ecklers Corvette parts in business.

It is the steel substructure that surrounds the windshield and firewall etc. It is a common rot area on this vintage of Corvette. Proper repair of a rusted out Corvette birdcage is a really big job. In some cases of a driver quality Corvette with a really badly rusted birdcage it can become the path toward the car being scrapped.

Wow I've never seen so many Bloomington Gold judges in one place before as in the comment section. They're a used car dealership. It's a business. No one claimed it's a perfect car and honestly anyone who buys a car like this sight unseen is a moron. Of course you're not going to get a smoking deal buying a 50 year old car from a dealership. And like most people most dealers aren't Corvette experts either. And if you don't know squat about these cars and wake up one morning and decide to pay top dollar for one because you all of a sudden think owning one is "cool" then you kinda deserve what you get. It's not the dealership's responsibility to turn you into a Corvette expert. I've seen several very nice '71 LT1 cars locally for that kind of money but obviously people are out there buying cars like this or they (and countless other dealers like them popping up all over the place) wouldn't be in business. I am kinda surprised they wouldn't just address the little issues it has. Patina is one thing but everything should work properly. I've flipped a few cars and motorcycles over the years and it just goes a lot better for you when the buyer doesn't have anything to bitch about, especially when you want good money for it.

Hey Nick it's mazz here just a little tip for you when you rev an automatic up in second gear hold the gas steady and click it into third gear to see how the cars shipped you're bringing it up in second gear letting off the gas and then shifting it into third that's not how you do it bro text me back if you want to know some really good tricks

General comment - Why do so many horns fail? That is a an inspection fail in my state. The wipers could be a few different things, the horn bothers me. If the previous owner didn't fix it, what else is hiding? I do like the car, just needs a few grand to fix the issues and make it right.
