I'd strongly recommend the buyer of this car knows what these cars are all about and inspects the frame rails and birdcage. If they show rust issues repair costs will be high. Also those vacuum operated headlights can be either really simple or really complex/costly to repair. If these all check out and the motor seems ok then probably a decent buy as a driver quality car.

I paid 15,000 for mine. Base model, no tilt or telescoping steering wheel. Runs like a champ. Had the valve seals replaced and put a lot into the under carriage. New gas tank and stereo. I love it. I like the 165 hp. Highways are great. Feels like an airplane taking off.

I bought one in 1975 for 9400.00 with the gymkhana suspension. Handled amazing but absolutely no power but lots of fun. Pretty nice to have purchased a car in 1975 and in 2023 get more for it used than it was new. Oh well, have to go with the flow.

Love it. Tempted to buy it. But I can't keep buying cars just to have them and do nothing with them. Love when he touches other parts of the car, the wipers act up. "t top cover is loose" *wipers turn on* "Does the horn work?" *Wipers turn on* T-tops are typically rattly. The brakes could honestly just have air in them. Let them gravity bleed and then see if it still sticks afterwards. Great buy for a daily driver.

Nice Vette. That generation of Corvettes are my favorite design of all the Vettes. Too bad it was during the 1970s and the horsepower of the 350 engine was only 165 HP due to emissions regulations of that era.

A great project car for a Disabled Vet who wants a driver to wrench on but isn’t able to go full out with engine pulls and tranny drops. Just what I’ve been looking for. Too bad it’s not a ‘73 or earlier with those gorgeous chrome bumpers, but it is a Stingray! According to the paint code this used to be a Classic White Vette with over 8,007 produced - the largest color produced - and with Dark Red vinyl interior. And according to the VIN it came off the line in May of ‘75 with the 350ci 165hp engine.✝️🇺🇸❤️🫡

This is a great inspection. I love how you show off all the flaws and it's just so cool that you troubleshoot the problems on the fly. This is so refreshing to see and if you possess some mechanical skills, you will appreciate what Mr. Southgate is doing. For less than $10k, you have one of the most beautiful, sexiest car of the malaise era. I also need to say that Nick does a thorough inspection on the same level as a mechanic hired to find serious flaws before you make the purchase. @11:47, it's not a flaw. It's winking at all the ladies.

Boy, this year is like the perfect example of 'The Dark Years' of performance, I think my zero-turn mower would run right with this car 0 to 30mph. THAT'S why these cars sell so low, the performance is embarrassing. On a positive note - someone who knows how to make big power without making a lot of noise could have a fun little sleeper, without spending a fortune.

WELL...as an owner of a '75 that has great power I must disagree. I chose this year for sleekness and it was the last year to not require a smog check. You can gussy up that engine in multiple ways, and I did.

Depends on what you want. Worst original performance: Yes. The design of the "Vette" of -75 is one of the best ever. The laziness of the 350ci 165hp with strangling emission issues engine is of course sad. But, who the hell wants to street-race with an original 48-year-old car in original mode? She's a pure beauty and when she shows up on the road with that all beauty and a 350-sound, it's always a cheer-up
