Nice bringing back memories had a 1972 roadrunner 440 same color but with the stripes bought it in 1981 for $1500 from a dealership around my house. Had for a couple of years and traded in for a 1978 Z28😢

In 1981 owned this same car in the same color but with a black vinyl top, black interior, no wing and a 383 magnum. Are ready for this? $550 with 43,000 miles. Yup, those are the facts. Sold it 6 months later for $850. Thought I was the best saleman in the entire country.

That is an original 318 car. It doesn't have the 8 3/4 rear-end. It would be worth it, if it was an original 340 car, with a 340 motor. Still a nice looking and sounding car.

The gas gauge needle won't move unless the key is in the run position. When the car is off the needle moves all the way over to empty.

Looks like it should be a big block car but that 318 will keep the police off your back and help you keep it between the lines. The perfect car for someone to tinker with while they daily drive it.

@@mikesteelheart Ha I guess you're right but the lack of acceleration combined with the sound of trying to accelerate yells that this car is grandma's grocery getter car with a paint job. The aftermarket wing on the back yells "look at me, I'm so cool". Although this car had a slant 6 as an option along with the 318 & 383, 340 wasn't an option. This car was gold or green. I do like the car and the wing would get trashed and the rear deck would temporarily be flat black till I patched the holes.

1971 Satellite- SQUARE 4 DOOR Satellite Sebring- 2 door swoopy lines like in this video. Satellite Sebring PLUS- Premium interior and trim like a GTX, bucket seats, nice door panels, sport mirrors, slapstick console, etc... BUT...could have just about any engine. 318 normally but sometimes a 383 and in 72 a 400. Roadrunner- roadrunner decals/trim and a hi-performance motor. 340, 383, 440, Hemi... In 1972- 340, 400, 440gtx GTX- is a roadrunner with premium interior and trim. Only Hemi or 440 motor. In 72 only 440 and it was called a roadrunner/GTX.

@@russfrancis4220 No, they made 2 door satellites too. Satellite could be a 2 door coupe, hardtop, 4-door, or wagon. Sebring came with upgrades like AC and the 318 2bbl standard, but you could still get it with the Slant 6, or 383. It's hard to say which this one is, since it has manual brakes. Sebrings had front discs, if I remember. Headers were obviously added later, and I'm surprised this one still has that BBD 2barrel carb. Anyone who added headers would likely also upgrade the carb and intake. 🤔

@@akdoc2003 I have never seen a 1971 plymouth "SATELLITE" 2 door. SATELLITE was Always a 4 door. 2 door was a "SATELLITE SEBRING" 1n 1971.
