A 360 would be a good motor. A lot longer stroke gave it a lot more low end torque which you need with a heavier car like this.
@archieguitarz47002 жыл бұрын
Back then if you wanted an intermediate size two door sedan the Charger was the only option. If you wanted a four door you got the Coronet. Probably why they had such a variety of motors options, from snoozer to cruiser.

That hole in the dash brings back memories...it probably was done in the late 70's with the install of the old box type Fuzzbuster (Gen 1) have with a light you could install in the dash that lit up when radar was detected.

I once had a '73 , very much like this one ; NOT an SE (hated that look)--a 340 "magnum" (not much "Magnum" in a 1973). White car, black vinyl roof, w/a black highlighted hood bump, power steering & brakes-nice. Crank windows, not so nice. White interior, floor auto w/a console. Sold it since I was going to the PI--big mistake. SAD episode all the way around; first I lost my fiancee, then I sold the car. Should've stored it because a nicely done/fully restored '73/'74 is now so far north $$ wise of this '74 @ $22K it makes my head spin. This Charger is someone's attempt @ hot rodding--more like an abortion; didn't even change out the column shift. The Flow's make it sound bad-ass, but as a puny 318 it's a gussied up granny car. Power steering? Not according to Nick. Power brakes ? NOPE. Yup, this baby needs work, so I guess $22K is an ok price, because it starts, stops, & runs pretty good. And the body appears to be in great shape. Me buy it? He*l yeah!
