Test Drive Jaguar I-Pace with us as we carry out an in depth review of this new electric vehicle

In this in-depth review, the HSE spec all electric I-Pace, is put through its paces. I-Pace has 4 wheel drive, giving it offload capabilities and uses 2 electric motors that have the electrical equivalent of a 400 hp engine. So it is no slouch, it should have been called the I=Pace.
We traveled across the Lake District, from Furness Abbey to Brough Castle over Kirkstone Pass (several times). Over Gummer's How pass, up to the beautiful Cumbrian port of Whitehaven in the North West of Cumbria and back. This electric car has the range and the pace, even driving in the steepest of mountains passes and wildest parts of the Country, we never suffered Range Anxiety in this cat.

Hi Colin, The car virtually drives itself when it is in adaptive cruise control. It makes traveling distance appear to be half what it actually is.😀

Hi Bob, yes, it is amazing what features are fitted to modern luxury cars. How did we manage without them? We notice the feeling that distance was reduced because it was so easy to drive.😀

Hi Anirudh Garg. We were fully charged on the day we traveled from Barrow-in Furness through the Lake District to Brough Castle and back via the motorway. The route and distance is given in this video and we still had plenty of charge in the battery at the end of it. We charged the car from a 13 amp (220volt UK electric supply) socket every night and it gave the car about 7 mile range for every hour it was on charge. So after 12 hours we had an extra 84 miles of range. 😀

Feel free to get the car again. Take me with you - and we can make another video while I play with it ! How fast do you have to drive it before the outside door handles retract ? That's the kind of play I mean ! Should we take your caravan over Wrynose with it ? I wonder if the quality of JLR has improved since TATA took over ? Jags, landrovers and Mercs were popular 'new' cars for breakdown recovery work !

@@UsefulWisdom I've only killed one dog at that spot that did that. But there was also a young deer that jumped onto the road near Greenodd on the A5092 that I killed - I was never really sure whether it had actually landed before I hit it.
