As a novice to this hobby I think the thing I loved most was just picking up pointers on how you handle and use your airbrush. I very much to the bomb method with my airbrush and you have me thinking of changing

So far from what I've seen everyone that has tried this paint has fallen in love with it. I may be adding it to my paint stash and giving it a go. Thanks for the great review!

The theory behind the Russian cockpit turquoise was that the color kept the pilots emotionally relaxed while performing their duties. Typically, the pilots did not freelance or act on their own. Ground controllers told them what to do for everything. On the MP home page, at the bottom left is a link to retailers by country and there are several US distributers, so you should no longer have to order from Slovakia. It is a nice country though :)

Finally! I found a great video telling me how to use this paint. Now I can get over my fear of trying it.

I am glad that I found your video, I am thinking of using MRP and this confirms my thoughts. I looks like I should turn down my PSI to about 12 - I currently run about 15 to 19.

They supposedly did a lot of testing to find that cockpit color to be comfortable to the pilots flying them around or something. I think its a great color as it screams out "Russian Jet!" When you look at it. Lol Its a shame that they stopped using that color.

Hey, thanks for the review. I got some of the RAL colors on the way. ...one thing you didn't mention is that you can mix tamiya and gunze with this paint to get different tones.

You can buy the missing bits from ebay. We have to do it for our Wounded Veterans charity all the time.

Hello, Great work as usual. I have one question. Do MRP lacquer paints have a shelf life? Meaning, once a bottle is opened and used, how long does this paint stays usable and sprayable. Because once I buy a whole bunch, I don't want to use them as 'paper weight' after two or three years. Greetings from Belgium.

This is the third major YT review I've seen of MPR. If I hadn't read the label on the close-up, I wouldn't have known it was an acrylic - the Alcald comparisons had me a little fooled. Anyway, if this paint like Gunze/Tamiya in the sense that it is solvent based and might be thinned with lacquer thinner if it was thinned at all? (Golden High Flow is a water based acrylic and is very thin and rewards "painting small" so it's possible.) Very nice video as usual.

Eric Bergerud it's a lacquer with acrylic pigment - very similar to Mr Color but very thin

Tamiya 1/32 F-15. Picked up for a steal only to realize later that it was missing like half the parts. So...mule duty.
