Guess I'm just an old guy, but the manual transmission makes this car far more desirable than a paddle-shifted anything else. I was getting my dad's Rover 2000 TC airborne when I was 18. From that time to this, shifting has for me been one of the most satisfying aspects of driving. Knowing when to do it, and how, and merging the process smoothly with other ones like steering and braking. When you can drive fast, smooth, and safe, it's a natural high!

Taught all my kids to drive a manual. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to find a used Aston equipped the way you would prefer. I had to settle for a auto. Mine is a 2012 V8VS so it has the 7 speed SSII. I've learned to live with it, and now actually enjoy it! I never thought I'd say it, being a die hard save the manuals guy

+Pete Flynn Yeah, back when Aston still made proper transmissions. The biggest issue with modern Astons is that absolutely atrocious automatic. It's so dated it's not even funny. If they had a dual clutch at least, but no it's clunky, slow, and terrible.

I never understood what people see in this car and why they call it beautiful. DB9 and DBS are beautiful, but this just doesn't look that good at all. It's got a weird stance and looks like the wheels are on it's corners, especially in the rear, it's fat and in general lacks any sort of elegance that the DB9 or DBS have, and the detail on is just tasteless. Those wheels look like cheap aftermarkets, those grills on the front hood are just...fcking disgusting, no other way to put it...
@arjanpetersen9 жыл бұрын
There is another way: it is nice! I have seen it in reality
@gman10038 жыл бұрын

@digitalrailroader3 жыл бұрын
According to Aston Martin, those “fcking disgusting” hood louvres are actually functional for maximum airflow through the cooling system so it doesn’t cook the V12 engine.
