I never got to see them live, but I still love them. I've seen Dev (Lightspeed Champion) live, at least. It's cool that he's getting attention from the mainstream music press now.

I remember when I first saw this video on their myspace. Too bad they broke up. I never got to see them. I guess that's what I get for living in the U.S. Oh well, there's some decent bands here, too.

Nope. Rites of Spring and Embrace both put out music in the mid-eighties, and emo has continued since then with everything from Heroin to Angel Hair to Saetia to Aussitot Mort. Emo is still going strong.

I went to there 3rd to last gig ever in manchester academy 3 :D, they all came out in water proof jackets and pants i thought they where gunna douse us with water or somthing haha and they all took turns singing and sounded the exact same lol was cool!

Their music is fucking amazing but this video bugs me because Sam and Devonte are wearing pretty much the same thing. Plaid jackets with grey hoodys underneath and skinnys. But then again, its a great stlye.

I get the feeling this band was some kind of piss-take on hardcore and Lightspeed Champion is some kind of piss-take on folky indie-rock. As such, both are great, but taken at face value Test Icicles was much better. What have Sam and Rory done since Test Icicles broke up?

Its a shame they spilt up and also a shame we dont have more bands like this that are raw and mean something. What a fucking stage music is currently. Nothing new or original and at least Test Iciciles made a small mark and made a few people wake up out of there comas.

Tbh, They aren't even screamo. Alright so they scream in their songs. Well some of them but they actually aren't screamo. they're a mix of different genres and actually have some indie roots in them. kthnxbai ps. you're right about one thing though... test icicles are better than lightspeed. I don't really like his like...melodies... It's so weird listening to Test icicles then that. I was shocked. Not to offend the lightspeed fans though. As I actually don't mind lightspeed.
