Test M998 HMMWV Generator In Less Than A Minute!

My generator is over charging at 31 to 34 volts. I had the batteries checked out and they are good. Any idea what could it be . Thanks I advanced

Have you tried adjusting the output voltage on the generator. There should be some videos on how to do this on KZbin, or if you can download the manual. Sites like steel soldiers has the manuals you can download.

Random Shift yes. I try adjusting the voltage bit there’s no change. I’ll check out the manual to see if i can find any info on what could it be. Thanks.

I talked to my friend and he said your internal regulator is probably bad. He said you should be able to take it to any place that rebuilds alternators and should cost around $100 to fix (if you bring it in off the vehicle) if that is the problem.

Random Shift yes that’s what it was the Regulator. I replaced it and now is good. Thanks for the help. Much appreciated

what setting dd you use on your meter?

I set it to the 200v setting.
