In the 1999 vídeos are using dry tyres, and in this one are studded ones to get maximum grip on the ice

This is a test, Kalle drove that same stage up and down quite a lot that day. But with the pace hes going at, its certainly not easier in general compared to 99.

@@jonathangarbutt4682 Yeah, in retrospect, I thought the weather then was more slippery due to -\+ temperature, while here it looks like its predictable ice. Plus, thats true that the stability control systems and suspension have gone a long way. While that partially feels that its less challenging now, compared to older seasons, it sure is more safe to not crash and focus on race

Снежная площадка. Форд Фокус 2 или 3. Память уже подводит. Передние шины - шипы, а задние - летние Федерал 595 RSR. Крутил пятаки, как на заднем приводе. Пару раз минут по 20. Люди останавливались и снимали на видео. Электрическая рейка после таких энергичных вращений рулём с каждым днем при минимальном повороте руля стала издавать вой взлетающего реактивного истребителя. Поменял рейку в сборе за приличные деньги. Наступила тишина Шины: Перед 205/55/16. Задние - 205/50/16. Даже по прямой на снежном покрытие только боком. Со скорости 5 км/в час.

If the WRC is smart (highly unlikely these days) they could use the sport to champion sustainable fuel's or alternative fuels. Could be a chance for manufactures, like Toyota, to test and show off why hydrogen fuel cars could be realistic future, instead of electric. Going non-hybrid is step in the right direction.

...those cars run on e-fuel since 2022. They even were the first major FIA championship to do that. And Toyota has a hydrogen Yaris that they used in some events, but no one in the industry cared.
