I rode my uncle's outlander 450 and it was really good, but what really caught me off guard is when I punched the gas and it had more punch and speed than I expected so if you are looking at a first or second ATV look no further than the can am outlander 450

Just rented this exact same model yesterday to explore the Nevado volcano in mexico with my wife, also riding back to back with an 800 Outlander from the tour guide, and long story short: this review is spot on. Is the 800 better? Yes. Is the 800 also 5 grand better? Hell no!! If i didnt have the money for any of the bigger engines, i now know that i would be perfectly happy with the 450. Its that good.

so this video was a big help when i was deciding between and Outlander L 570 and Polaris Sportsman 570. I eneded up with the Outlander and have not turned back. I love this thing. If i would recommend the 570 over the 450 if you can afford it. For me (a first time rider and i mean i rode an ATV for the first time for less than 4 hours before i went out and bough this. yes i got hooked that easily) the 570 is a perfect amount of power for me at this point in my experience. I definitely recommend the 570L DPS if you can swing it as well. my dad bought one the same time as me and didnt get the DPS model and i can tell you the DPS is really nice, but not necessary. Dont get me wrong the non-DPS models are great too and fun to ride but if you can swing the DPS i highly recommend doing so. I hope this will help anyone who is looking at getting one!

ive been watching ATV videos for as long as i can remember, WITHOUT beeing an ATV rider or ever ridden an ATV before...so beeing "media-influenced without any experience at all", and beeing a motocross/rally/road and track-racer ive always had the feeling that any atv below 600cc would be just simply ridiculously slow...thank God i was wrong! i just rented for the very first time in my life an ATV (the older model Can Am Outlander 400 Max) to go explore the Brazilian mountains with my wife, and man that thing was WAY stronger then i expected! beeing a racing driver and motocross rider and having 2 people on the atv plus beeing "only" a 400, i throttled that thing like it would barely even move, but man was i surprised with how the freaking hell that thing launched off!! now after spending a while with this old-beaten-up rent 400 i cant really understand why the 1000s even exist...it would def be intersting riding one of those tho!..

MLG NOSCOPER Sorry bro, but the Cloudz attacked me in another video titled... 'Outlander L 450 VS 500 Review' where a dealer compared the sound of the 450 & 500, and I wrote thanking the dealer for the info because it helped me to decide on the 500. And the shit ImCloudz replied to my post saying... "What kind of tampons do you use? jesus you sound like a real pussy" So I'm just giving the creep a taste of his own medicine. Sorry if I polluted this comment section, but after the creep reads it I'll delete it.

I got a 22 450 it’s got a lot more power than I expected I only test drove it because Polaris was sold out and my 570 got too hot to be comfortable thing tops out at 67 but sadly it’s been a lemon front end came apart at 150 miles causing me to crash which warranty covered but they didn’t replace the beat up front plastics then at 750 miles engine blew sent a rod thru the block warranty covered it but crappy dealer gave it back to me and Istg a 12yo worked on it and at 800 mile’s muffler cracked so I had to weld it up calling dealer tomorrow to try get them to send me a new one and the missing bolts and hopefully compensation for all the time it’s been in the shop and problems I’ve had

this is a really cool ATV, my kids love it(and me too), just make sure you drive it off road, if you drive in the city(you should not) just make sure don´t do fast turns(you will tip over), you should be very carefull when riding this, by the way i bought it brand new from a dealership 2016, the warranty is only 6 months here in Mexico, mine was assembled in Mexico it says so in a Label. I'm curious about how reliable Can Am machines are. I always hear bad things about them. One thing that would worry me about owning one is how exposed those rear axles are. Seems like they are very prone to getting damaged. All other machines with irs have arms beside the axles.

Wondering the same myself. I know it isnt a honda, but can it be run everyday for years with regular maintenence? Or are they known break before being paid off? Not talking about running it through chest deep mud or a lake, just moderate trail riding and some farm work.
@zrexrich61184 жыл бұрын
@@lophloph07 I bought a used 2017 450 DPS with only six hours on it. Unloaded it from the trailer, then moved the trailer (4x8 utility trailer) and the quad caught fire/burned to the ground before the firetruck arrived. I'm gutted as this looked to be the perfect replacement for my old Suzuki Eiger 400.
@lophloph074 жыл бұрын
@@zrexrich6118 damn thats too bad. I ended up buying a new 2018 450l max no dps shortly after this vid. Only problems so far is noisy clutch(supposivly normal) heat shields and such rattling loose, and spark arrester plug stuck in muffler. So far its been alright, but maintenance is pretty extensive if you follow the book. Its a nice ride and quick for its size, but if i didnt need a true 2 seater i would have got a honda or yami.
@dankruger28907 жыл бұрын
try going up a steep mountain trail, when the riding really gets fun and keep up with a bigger machine. that 450l will turns into a slow lacking power machine, really quick.

the 450 is also lighter weight and makes power lower..it probably would no have a problem keeping up going up a hill to 500s or 600s

Here's what I think people need to know. ATVs require maintenance and different designs require different degrees if maintenance. I love the look of these ATVs and the quality of the Rotax engine is undeniable. However, after my brother purchased a G2 Outlander, we realized how labour intensive they are to maintain & repair. Some of the simplest and most common tasks are overly complicated on the Outlander. I give up paying attention to how an ATV looks and started paying attention to how it is designed & engineered and how easy it is to maintain. For some strange reason, only the Japanese are making it easy to check and maintain their ATVs. Ironically, they have also been in the quality game since the beginning.
