Looks are awesome and the shocks coming through the hood are awsome. But that manual transmission might not breathe best for mudding but that as model sounds really good and better forna beginner. Overall great looking and performing machine

This unit was on loan to us for evaluating purposes like all of our test units. That said though, we'd all probably own one of these in this version or the SS version.

as others have mentioned, and will continue to say, this machine is not going to hang with a CVT SxS in the really tough, technical trails. for example. y'all at dirt trax have been to brimstone in Tennessee. I would love for you to do a comparison of the YXZ, rzr, maverick, and wildcat on those type trails, preferably the red trails. heck if you are brave enough, throw in a Y trail here and there. with that said, I'm a huge Yamaha fan. and I am a fan of the YXZ. I think for its intended purpose it is a true game changer. but seriously dirt trax, y'all are miss informing viewers by claiming the YXZ is just as capable as any other sport SxS on the trails. yes, like you showed in this video it will do fine. but so will my 7 year old on his 50cc atv. get into the truly rough and technical stuff, and unless the driver has got some very good skill, is at best gonna struggle maintaining forward momentum without messing something up. but regardless, no ill feeling or wanna sound like a hater. love this channel and always enjoy watching the videos!!

Knowing Yamaha plays a bit on the conservative side, it is more likely we'd see a twin in the 800-900cc range. We'd love to see that engine in something to compete with the Scrambler and Renegade. It might not win in a head to head drag race, but if it was loaded up with better tires and beadlocks, a performance exhaust, piggyback shocks, no racks and mapped a little snappier it would definitely attract some attention.

Look at how wide these trails are. I could drive my truck down these trails. Tight trails would be a different story. The width and turning radius of these flagship models becomes a hindrance on trails it can barely fit in.

He's talking about the rear fenders not the front ones. My own opinion is the yxz looks absolutely amazing and much better then the rzr (the flat front end) and especially than the ugly artic cats
