Hi! How are the examiners at the Glendale dmv? My daughter went to Winnetka and failed because the examiner was so rude and aggressive..she’s been traumatized because of this experience. She’s a great driver but is scared of the test, so we have an appt next week for her to try Glendale.

I am very sorry that examiners cause so much stress to examinees. I understand her perfectly. Here in Glendale, the examiners are all different. I saw men and women and noticed they take the exam differently. If the examinee fails the test, the men calmly explain the reason and give advice. Women, on the contrary, if the examinee did not pass the exam, they explain little, leave the sheet and hurry to get out of the car. I don't know what this is related to. These are just my observations. The most important thing is not to make critical mistakes. Because of any critical error, the test fails. Drive along the routes many times, bring her ability to drive along these routes to automatism and she will be able to listen to the examiner more easily. This will dramatically increase her chances and she will be able to be more confident in herself. Good luck to you, then write how the exam went.

This means that you need to go to 1/3 of the road and skip all oncoming traffic. You just need to let everyone go before turning left. Even if the yellow and then the red traffic light turned on and you are in the middle of the road and want to turn, then oncoming cars should stop because they have a red traffic light and you can complete the maneuver to the left.

Hi. It is not necessary to make a second stop. The second stop is optional and is made to ensure the turn is safe. Use your judgment to decide if it’s needed.

Спасибо за полезное видео. Можете только пояснить, на 7:16 при повороте направо на Сан Фернандо вы стояли на светофоре, дожидаясь зелёного света, хотя правила позволяют поворачивать на красный. Тоже готовлюсь к экзаменам, и этот момент слегка непонятен.

Спасибо за комментарий и внимание к деталям в видео. Да, в Калифорнии действительно разрешается поворачивать направо на красный свет после полной остановки, если это безопасно и на перекрестке нет знака, запрещающего такой поворот. Важно всегда проверять наличие пешеходов и велосипедистов, а также убедиться, что другие транспортные средства не имеют преимущества движения, перед тем как совершить поворот на красный. Но так же это не означает что мы обязаны повернуть на право. По моему мнению на экзамене лучше не торопиться и подождать зелёный чем создать опасную ситуацию в случае если вы нарушите правила. Надеюсь, это поможет вам в подготовке к экзамену!

Ну что, сегодня сдал! Вот ровно по этому маршруту. Поездил предварительно по нему, выучил наизусть и был готов к командам экзаменатора ещё до того, как они прозвучали. На Сан Фернандо всё-таки повернул направо на красный, проблем не возникло.

Hi i will be taking test in Glendale next month. We only have tesla. Is it okay to do the test with tesla? I will try NOT to see the screen for back up cam and sensor..😅

Why do you turn left into the middle lane? I heard it's considered a (too) wide turn if you don't turn into the closest (left) lane

“Turn left from a two-way street. Start your turn in the left lane closest to the middle of the street. Complete the turn, if it is safe, on any of the lanes of the street you are turning into.” This information is from California Driver's Handbook.

@@FrankovVlog Thanks for the quick reply! I just saw a driving test on youtube where the candidate got a demerit for not turning into the far left lane and the examiner told her some of her turns were too wide...confusing! 😅

Yes. It's confusing. I noticed that it depends on the examiner. We chose the middle line when turning to Glenoaks because the next turn is on the DMV. From the middle line it is much easier to go to the right line before turning to the DMV.

No, you can't use sensors and back up camera. The examiner is very strict about this.

Besides the Alley i dont see the speed limit signs on the main roads How can you guess?
