Test: Which cup keeps ice frozen longest?

You know Florida can melt down an icy drink in a hot second. We wanted to see which cups keep in the cold longest, for the best price. What better place and time to compare brands than Florida in the heat of summer: Yeti, Corkscicle, RTIC, Ozark Trail from Walmart, or Hydra?

In not a scientist or anything, but I think the reason why the RTIC cup as well as the Ozark did the best is because of the lid. Notice how all of the other cups have transparent lids, except for the RTIC and Ozark which have darker lids. This means that because they are darker they will not let as much sunlight inside And since light can carry heat and could cause the ice in the drink to melt, they are actually blocking more heat out than the other tumblers that let the sunlight in a cause the drink to heat up.

Don't need a temp gun, just start with the same amount of ice and check every ten minutes which one has ice longest

Get an "Ice Shaker" best tumbler I have used. I left my tumbler with ice at work once and the next day all my coworkers were suprise it still had ICE. Oh yeah, and it fits in my car cup holder (big deal for me lol).

Mine cost 4 quid uk and keeps ice for 12 hours sometimes longer. Keeps everything cold for 24h. You don't need to spend ridiculous amounts of money on these

In order to do this test properly each cup needs to be the same size and color distanced properly away from each other in a glass room with the sun beaming on it in. Wind and humidity play a factor. You want the least amount of factors playing into this as possible.
