My best friend bought this album, and I bought Nasty Savage "Indulgence" at the same time. Both good bands, but his choice lasted much longer than mine. These guys did/ and do...fucking rock. Chuck ftw....saw them in 89 in Vegas on Practice What You Preach tour....amazing...

it's just that the mics on stage don't pick up much from the audience. the sound in this video comes directly from the mixer, it's basically the signal that goes directly to the PA. they don't edit the audience out, the audience is simply non-existent.

chuck billy is one of the absolute best metal voices ever. the guy who sings for a7x - m. shadows is it? come on. that guy was a screamer then tried yelling and...he's not really good at all. not to mention testament has always had great drummers and bass player - steve digorgio, dave lombardo, paul bostaph, john tempsta, greg christian, louie clemente, nick barker, gene hoglan? those are some rather legendary names.

i am not trying to put down alex by the way, as he is one of, if not the best lead guitar player in thrash, and i have tons of respect for him and his way of playing which is still melodic and catchy while fast as hell. i just don't think you can compare them to eachother

I agree that Testament and CoC are both well known within Metal Circles but outside of the scene they are unheard of. Wheras even a non metal fan has heard of Megadeth or Pantera for example.

It appears I was mistaken and the cancer was just in his chest. Still an impressive comeback though. Chuck can't belt out the high notes like he used to ,but instead of letting it hurt his act he just altered his style of singing and now he has a nice heavier sound to his voice. Either way he is easily one of the best metal vocalists of all time \m/

what is good and what is not is a matter of oppinion. skolnick is definately the best technical player of the two just listen to his jazz stuff if you aren't convinced. however, dime had his own tone and pratically revolutionized lead playing in metal, with his alternative take on it, and use of the whammy bay. no one had done it quite like him, and in my book that kind of innovation weighs more than just playing fast
