I watch a lot of reviews on KZbin and I can't say I've seen one better. You get to the points that people care about in reviewing the rifle in the lab and you show real shooting results that seem to actually measure the performance of the rifle. Great work and thank you. I've been looking for a high end 22LR and I think this is it. I was looking at CZ MTR, Lithgow LA101 and now this. The Rem 700 compatibility is the "closer" for me. That's so important -- "Open Systems" are the best!

Always enjoy watching. Don't use a center fire can that can't be disassembled to be cleaned. 22lr is very dirty and will quickly foul up the baffles. Get yourself a dedicated rimfire can or build one yourself since you have the equipment to do it. That way you can take it apart and clean it.

Great job son!!! I was at the range today and it was too hot to shoot our bench rifles. So lets get some trigger time with our 22's. Same basic principles as our more powerful rifles, but without, as you said in this video, the time reloading, the costs, and attention to details we take on as precision shooters. " Lets just have some fun." It was hot, we have to deal with mirage, there is wind, another factor we face on the bench. I am honing my skills reading wind and mirage at 10cts a round. I shot 15 rounds of 5. Some better than others, but the wind settled and the mirage was removed by a big fluffy cloud and I settled behind the 30 power scope and shot a .0037 5 shot group. Not bad for an older gentleman that took this sport up a couple years ago. Like you, I have good equipment, good ammo and the benefit of on line teaching by fellows like you and those that you admire. Keep paying it forward, your doing more for our sport than you Know! Take my money! Never been into rimfire stuff. But with the time and money involved in every round of 6.5c And the similarity of this rifle to my rifle I finally get it. Being able to practice the fundamentals of shooting (most important thing I’m after at the range now that my hand loads are dialed in to an almost boring degree of consistency) without the cost and reloading bench time, not to mention barrel wear, I’m sold.Now to sell my wife on a $2k+ setup (if I can find a good deal on glass. Want to use the same as on my 6.5 hmr. Overkill, but gives me more time with the glass) that she’ll see as the same as my current rifle!! For you guys on the fence about getting the full size hmr...stop thinking about it and go get one. All I did was a little bit of lug lapping (factory still had about 40% contact, only took 20 or so strokes to get about 90%) and tune the ammo I feed her. Getting ~1/4 moa at 100, 3/8 at 300, and 1/2 at 500. The apparent accuracy loss at longer range is 100% me, not the rifle. I’m sure it can do even better in the right hands, hence why I’d love to get my hands on that 22 to give my rifle the shooter she deserves :)

From Silencerco website: “This is a full-auto rated suppressor that offers fairly broad caliber compatibility. It can be used with rifle calibers ranging from 223 Remington to 300 Winchester Magnum, meaning it’s likely going to work with the rifles you have on hand. It’s important to be aware this isn’t a rimfire suppressor and it also isn’t recommended that you use lead projectiles with it”

I shoot a CZ-455 for NRL22 and ELR(to 540y w/adjustable base of 72 mils). I cannot justified a Voodoo to myself, so I was considering a B14(have one in 300PRC that shoots great), but I have to say I am not impressed with 1" groups at 100y. Maybe it was the wind at your range, but Center-X in my rifle is sub-moa at 100 all day. I'll keep watching, maybe you change my mind. ;)

I have one in 22mag, 5oz jard trigger, 20moa rail, precision armaments muzzle brake, burris signature rings and vortex strike eagle 5-25x56 scope. I have rings set to 0 moa in the back and +5 moa in the front so at 100 yards I am close to the center of the scope(45 moa) and add 21 moa to go to 300 yards. I put on a longer bolt handle and ordered a bolt shroud. :Polished bolt shank, bolt ramp, firing pin and where shank meets bolt head. I did have to wear the bolt lugs into the reciever for good contact(small amount of valve grinding compound), clean, noloax electrical compound(kinda slick paste with some grit in it), clean it, then gun oil. I bought a used one, $800. I attached a NF NXS 3.5-15 x 50 SFP Scope with MOAR reticle along with a 6-9 inch swivel Harris Bipod. I do not know the trigger pull weight but I perceive it’s about 3 lbs and I have no problem pulling it smoothly. The length of pull was too long for a muscularly relaxed bench position so I removed two butt stock spacers and I may remove another as I find I am riding the cheek piece for a proper eyeball to scope eyebox relationship with scope at proper position for firing from all positions. At any rate, shooting CCI Competition Ammunition I am getting.3 inch 5 shot groups at 50 yards and my come up for 100 yard shooting is about 6 MOA. At 100 yards groups are in the 1.5 MOA arena but that will likely drop to sub MOA now that I know the MOA wind constant is 10 at a hundred yards. That means a crosswind raising dust and blowing loose paper will displace the bullet about an inch at 100 yards. Readers here should use this formula: distance to target in yards divided by 100 times wind value in mph divided by constant of 10 equals MOA of favor. Just remember to treat quartering winds as half value. BTW, I think this rifle is ideal for NRA Long-Range Competition practice at the 100 yard line shooting at a 4.4 inch bull cut down to that diameter from an MR-31 target. From analysis of bullet placement on such a target the shooter could easy appraise marksmanship errors and their solutions to develop the sort of skills needed for long range success. What could be better than that?

I enjoy the videos you put out, a lot of useful information and very well done. I just want to touch on something you said about the Bergara B14 R, the shim, as also supplied with the center-fire rifles, is to compensate for the dimension discrepancies from one mount to another, therefore NOT putting any unnecessary torque on the main tube of your scope and in the process, bending and damaging the scope tube, it is NOT to give you MOA in the scope mount. You do a real nice job filming, I have to compliment you on that, and what a great back drop... real nice. Unfortunately I absolutely disagree with your comment on balance because it is exactly not balanced, especially as PRS practice rifle. Test it on a barricade and it will fall off. Bergara is missing the boat on this as well as Vudoo with short and light barrels when we need the opposite. 22LR guys like the short barrels because they are easy to move, but they are hurting the intent of training for center fire with a 26 inch barrel. These 22 trainers should all be available with 24 inch MTU barrels. Actually RimX does have an option for a 24 inch MTU, but the action needs the feed issues to be resolved with a moving extractor.

It’s not cheap bud. Bmp 6.5 or 6. They are a great value plus. Bergara was a barrel maker before getting into rifles. Winner winner chicken dinner.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a "trainer gun"?
@UltimatereloaderАй бұрын
If someone is shooting a match with say 6.5 Creedmoor (PRS for example) they will frequently train with a 223 (or similar) that's more economical and doesn't burn up the match barrel, components, etc.

Would it be safe to shoot 22shorts as long as they were single loaded one at a time by hand? or is the head spacing to much of an issue? Thx
