Is a frequency generator similar to a stereo amplifier? Gerard suggested it was and I posted a link for a 4,400 watt unit.

No the amplifier only amplifies the signal generated

Right, sound in and amplified out. I notice that electric objects are being made with higher volts. The fastest electric car has a 500v motor. So we need an amplifier to boost the voltage from 100v to 500 or higher etc... what is resonance? Amplified volts?

Resonance occurs at a particular frequency in which a circuit or inductor osscilate at their natural resonant frequency
