Old school spritz lol. That's the ONLY thing that works for me lol. I use whatever gel I'm using in my hair and then put spritz on these edges and then use a scarf and then my edges are #laid.

I have edge controls for each season. The orange Touch Down tamer works nice for my edges when I have a silk press. With that being said, it’s cold and dry when I use that edge control.

If you want them laid....got to be glued black gel on top of castor oil and that’s the best hold I have ever found. It does flakes terribly and you have to wash it out the next day can’t reapply product without washing it out. I use it when I have crochet (I leave a ton of edges out when I have crochet). Nothing else holds down the amount of hair I leave out

Have you tried slicking with the alikay naturals lemongrass gel? It holds me down sometimes I will use the Taliah Wajih curl curly cream underneath along with water and them edges stay in place all day. I don't even tie them down hardly ever. Another combo might be, curls blueberry bliss control paste or curls passion fruits paste with naturalclub avocado lines flaxseed gel. All of which I mentioned are healthier options. I have also wanted to try the alikay natural - slay and lay edge control. Have you tried the extra strength edge control from style booster that also stays in place pretty well. I have also tried the style factor and alikay naturals combo like you did in the video and I have had some success. I am always on the quest to find something better though. I enjoy your videos keep up the good work! 🙂

Yes, I tried the Alikay gel in my edges. It’s too crunchy for me lol but sometimes doesn’t lay. If it’s really hot my edges get greasy from the gel. Thanks for the other combos!!

I’m so glad you did this video because I really thought I was the only one who has the issue!!! I literally have given up on doing my edges but for my ponytails I use gel, black panther edge control and then I spray it with pump it up and that sometimes lasts throughout the day and sometimes it doesn’t.

Absolutely!! I recently cut and colored my hair in a tapered shape so I’ve been trying to find products that work with my 3c,4a texture so helping me find clean brands have been really helpful. I just picked up the booster gel in pink you used. Any recommendations on products since it’s colored now. I just seen your video about you trying to find new products since you have damage so that’s unfortunate. I’m sorry you’re experiencing that. You have beautiful hair as well.

You should try shine n jam. The purple is good for braids, and, the yellow is best for edges imo. Have you seen the rub it challenge? You should try them out too

When you use she is bomb, it works better when the edges are completely dry. When your edges are wet, it dilutes the edge control itself.

@@chynawhite3597 no, it only goes white on my edges when I use too much but that's rare (both dirty and washed hair). It really is different for everyone which shouldn't be the case. I even use the pomade as edge control and it is just as good for me but doesn't last as long.

I have to share this... so this lady I know gave me some hair products that she didn't want anymore, some gels and a wax. The wax is MG5 hair wax and every review on KZbin is a man with straight hair but it lays my edges down so good and I have 4c with a bit of 4b hair... I can't find it here in the Caribbean and I don't know if it's anywhere in America and it's only available on Amazon India so I don't know if you find it but if you do please review it. I have the one in the metal container. And if you can find it anywhere please leave a reply and help each other out. Thank you.

AmbitionWrites Cool. My high porosity hair just absorbs everything it touches. I’ve tried Let’s Jam Regular, Extra and Mega Hold, (childhood 2000’s days) Curls: Passionfruit and Blueberry Curl Control Pastes, (didn’t hold 💩, but very moisturizing) Creme Of Nature Extra Hold Gel (Too oily), Eco Styler Gel, (didn’t hold anything, but gave me some nice waves for high puffs) and I think that’s it. I don’t really lay my edges/baby hairs cause I can’t find anything that’ll do that without flaking or making my hair frizzy. And I kinda used to my edges standing out. Looks more realistic and gives my hair character. But, I wanna laid them for a certain hairstyle, I want them to be LAID, hunty! 😂
