Rach, I am old enough to be your grandmother (most likely), 62 yrs old. I rarely wear makeup, and have literally NO clue how to apply it properly. I am learning so much from your videos on makeup. I love this series/concept. What I would LOVE to see you do is a video with maybe your grandmom, or an older friend/relative, using drugstore brand makeups and skin care products. I know that it is totally different the types and methods of application of makeups, and I'd really enjoy watching you walk an older person through the basics of makeup. (I'll be your adopted gramma if you want to come to New Hampshire LOL)
@carveylover2 жыл бұрын
Don't make yourself feel that old at 62, you could be her mom she is in her mid-late 30's I believe. If you are looking for MUA'S( Make-up artists) that do mature skin make up I would look at Lisa Eldridge for her tutorial. There is also a woman on here I can't remember her name right now she is in her 50's and my mom who is 65 likes her a lot. Maybe she can do a tutorial with her mum or Chris's mom.

My mum does fairly basic makeup and as I’m into makeup for a wedding she asked me to help her. It’s such a different style to mine that she’s comfortable with. I’m very much bright rainbow metallics and she wanted something dressy but classy and elegant so I had to do a lot of research and try out shades I’ve never used in my pallets to find what would suit her needs. It gave me an insight into my future and how my tastes might change.

@@carveylover, you’re thinking of Angie/Hot & Flashy. She’s 60, if I remember right. I can never remember if she’s 7.5 months older than me or 16.5 months older than me.

I do a lot of incentivized reviews, there is no stipulation that the review has to be positive and I try to be as thorough as possible when leaving my review. Stick to the ones that explain why they like it because some people will just leave a 5 star review because they are excited to have received the product for free.
@AnnaReed422 жыл бұрын
My biggest pet peeve when reading reviews: "I haven't tried it yet. 5 stars." Why. Why would you leave a review for a product you haven't tried yet.
@momma2thewilds882 жыл бұрын
Plus alot of sites give you points. Like one will give me points for each review, I do 30 reviews I will get a free 3 wick large candle...... I have about 6 sites that I do this on. Half of them won't give you a point unless it's 5 stars.. sort of like my partner in bussiness giving tenants $500 for each 5 star review..... that's super illegal!
@Boopsy19822 жыл бұрын
I do too. I am always honest. I couldn't imagine only giving five stars because it was free. If it sucks then I say so lol.

I am part of "the incentivized", being an Influenster. But I ALWAYS give an honest review and I try to keep price at the forefront of my review. "Would I pay this much for this product?", etc. So I review these products as a total consumer. And I think others do the same.

I don't see a lot of people testing out Flower in these types of videos. For me their products work really well. My eyes and skin are quite sensitive and get very irritated with a lot of shadows, liners and foundation but i don't have those issues with Flower. Their foundation is a really good colour match for me. It is light coverage which is what i prefer

Welcome to the “paper white legs” club, Rachel! Honestly, I’ve been scared to try any tanning products. Coordination is definitely not my strong suit nor is flexibility. I could have my husband do it, but I’m pretty sure that would just get him low key excited to rubbing all over my body and not pay attention to getting it spread evenly. (28 years married and he still likes to get frisky when I’m busy cooking or washing dishes. It’s not that I mind, but when I’m frying bacon is definitely not the right time.)

You should have tried the waterproof version of the Double Trouble Essence -mascara. It's my new favorite. It does wonders to my lashes. I try to wipe excess product off the wand when pulling it out the tube.. Then I use the "hard plastic" side first on both eyes (so the first eye has already dried a bit when I go for second coat).. then on second coat I will use the "bristle" side.
