(0:07) Ohm Testing a Compressor
(0:12) - STEP 1: Remove (4) 5/16" lower panel screws.
(0:23) - STEP 2: Remove lower front panel from cooler.
(0:30) - STEP 3: Unplug cooler from wall outlet.
(0:39) - STEP 4: Locate compressor relay cap.
(0:50) - STEP 5: Using a flat head screwdriver, remove relay cap. Insert the head of the screwdriver into the slot at the top of the cap. Press in and down to pry cap off compressor.
(0:59) - STEP 6: Remove relay first, followed by overload.
(1:08) - STEP 7: Place red electrical probe to the Common Coil (top coil) while placing the black electrical probe to the Run Coil (bottom right coil). Check reading on Multimeter. Write down reading.
(1:15) - STEP 8: Once again, place red electrical probe to the Common Coil (top coil) while placing the black electrical probe to the Start Coil (bottom left coil). Check reading on Multimeter. Write down results of second reading.
(1:22) - STEP 9: Place red electrical probe to the Run Coil (bottom right coil) while placing the black electrical probe to the Start Coil (bottom left coil) Check reading on Multimeter. Write down the third reading. Take the two previous readings and add them together. First two readings should equal the third reading.
(1:28) - STEP 10: First, place overload onto the Top Coil Post. Then, place relay onto bottom two Coil Posts.
(1:37) - STEP 11: Snap relay cap back onto compressor. Relay cover should be secure after you hear two clicks.
(1:47) - STEP 12: Plug cooler into wall outlet.
(1:55) - STEP 13: Replace front lower panel back onto cooler.
