just loosen the union at the end of the cell where the flow comes out and catch some water ,use your test strips or test kit and check it for chlorine

I have a pentair IC-40 salt generator but the flow switch is in the unit itself. Is their a way to trick this unit? Thanks for any help.

I called pentair and they said you can press the flow switch inside the unit. I have tried it yet. My IC-20 is on its last legs and I’ll give this one last ditch effort. I notice this post was from a year ago. Did you have any success?

The cord for the cell generator has 2 sockets, while the cell unit has 2 male plugs. I mistakenly unconnected the cord to clean the unit and did mark how it was plugged in. can you comment on that? Thanks

You would need unions that match the 2" unions on the autopilot and a piece of pipe.

Luxury Pools and Living Ohio I do have an old cell, would it do the same thing if I just didn’t plug it in, and just plug in the new cell in off the manifold as you did in the video? I guess my question is did you have to modify the older cell you used in the video?

Stephen Frasca YES an old cell is the perfect and best thing to use!!! Yes do not plug it in but rather the cell in question with the plug.
